The present invention relates to a molded glass having a continuous pattern formed on its surface and a roll for forming this molded glass. Tempered glass with an uneven pattern on its surface has a good appearance and is non-transparent, so it is widely used for general residential purposes. The main focus of such conventional patterned glass is on the visual appeal of the pattern, and no consideration is given to the aspect of strength. Specifically, there are many non-uniform patterns in the unevenness of the pattern, and when molded glass is stacked, marks are likely to be left on the glossy surface of the glass that is in contact with the apex of the convex portion, which causes a decrease in strength. Furthermore, many of the concave portions of the pattern are continuous in a straight line, and the strength in these portions is weaker than in other portions. In addition, conventional patterns have severe irregularities, so even if the template glass is thermally strengthened, the surface compressive stress on the side where the pattern is formed becomes discontinuous, making it impossible to obtain a predetermined strength. The present invention was made in order to improve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional patterned glass, and its purpose is to improve the strength without losing the design and non-permeability that are the features of the patterned glass. To provide a molded glass which is excellent and can also be made into tempered glass, and a forming roll for producing this molded glass by a roll-out method. In order to achieve the above object, the shaped glass according to the present invention forms a continuous pattern consisting of a plurality of unit patterns having uneven parts on one surface, and the depth of the concave part of the unit pattern is set to the maximum thickness of the shaped glass, that is, the convex part. The thickness should be 1% to 4% of the thickness including the part, and the concave part should not be continuous linearly across two or more unit patterns, and the top surface of the convex part of each unit pattern should be 1% to 4% of the thickness including the continuous pattern. The gist of this is that it is approximately the same surface area. Further, the roll for molding glass according to the present invention includes:
A continuous pattern consisting of a plurality of unit patterns having uneven parts is engraved on one of a pair of rolls for pulling out the softened glass substrate, and the bottom surfaces of the recesses of each unit pattern are positioned on approximately the same circumferential surface. The convex part is not continuous in a straight line across two or more unit patterns, and the height of the convex part is 1% to 4% of the distance between the bottom of the concave part and the other roll surface. This is the summary. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a side sectional view showing a state in which molded glass is manufactured by the roll-out method using forming rolls according to the present invention. Pour out base material 2 to lip tile 3. A pair of upper and lower forming rolls 4 and 5 are arranged near the lip tile 3, a pattern is engraved on the surface of one of the forming rolls, for example, the lower forming roll 5, and the glass substrate 2 from the lip tile 3 is rolled onto the forming roll. 4 and 5 to form a template glass 6, and this template glass 6 is transferred to an annealing chamber 9 by a dead plate 7 and a conveyance roller 8.
I am trying to send it to Further, in order to strengthen the template glass 6, after forming and cutting, it is rapidly cooled from the heated state. FIG. 2 shows a step of forming a pattern on the surface of the forming roll, and FIG. 3 is an enlarged plan view of the pattern formed by this step. First, to explain the pattern forming process, a unit pattern or a pattern 11 consisting of several consecutive unit patterns is engraved on the surface of a relatively small mother mill 10 as shown in FIG. 2A. On the other hand, the mother mill 10
A lacquer or the like is applied to the surface of a larger intermediate mill 12, and the mother mill 10 is rolled on the surface of this intermediate mill 12. Then intermediate mill 1
The portion of the lacquer applied to the surface of the mother mill 10 that comes into contact with the convex portion of the pattern 11 of the mother mill 10 is transferred to the mother mill 10. Therefore, if the intermediate mill 10 is sprayed with an acidic liquid or the intermediate mill 10 is immersed in an acidic liquid,
The peeled portion of the lacquer is etched to form a pattern 12a in which the unevenness is opposite to that of the mother mill 10. Then, as shown in FIG. 2B, the intermediate mill 1
2 rolls, the continuous pattern 1 of the intermediate mill 12
The lacquer peels off at the part where it came into contact with the convex part 3. Therefore, by performing the same acid treatment as described above, the forming roll 5
A continuous pattern 11 similar to that formed on the mother mill 10 is formed on the surface. Note that when transferring the pattern from the mother mill 10 to the intermediate mill 12 and from the intermediate mill 12 to the forming roll 5, the mother mill 1
After one transfer is completed, the zero or intermediate mill 12 is moved in the axial direction and transferred again, so care must be taken to ensure that the pattern is continuous in the axial direction as well. The shape of the continuous pattern 11 is shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 4, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A--A in FIG. 3, and FIG. 5, which is a cross-sectional view taken along the line B--B in FIG. That is, FIG. 3 is a plan view enlarged approximately 20 times the actual dimensions, with the vertical direction on the page being the circumferential direction of the forming roll, and the horizontal direction on the page being the axial direction of the forming roll. The continuous pattern 11 formed on the surface of the forming roll is
Approximately circular recesses 13 are provided at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the forming roll, and inclined portions 14 are formed around the recesses 13.
The inclined parts 14 and 14 are connected by a continuous part 15 in the circumferential direction to form a pattern continuous in the circumferential direction. A protrusion 16 that is not continuous linearly is provided. Then, the recess 13
The boundary between the continuous portion 15 and the protruding portion 16 is rounded. Next, examples of the dimensions of the unit patterns constituting the continuous pattern 11 are listed below. Regarding the horizontal (axial) dimension of the unit pattern without loss, the horizontal dimension l 1 of the unit pattern is 1.4 mm, and the horizontal diameter of the recess 13.
l 2 is 0.5 mm, the horizontal dimension l 3 of the inclined part 14 is 0.2 mm, the width l 4 of the continuous part 15 is 0.3 mm, the width l 5 of the protruding part 16 is 0.1 mm, and the vertical (circumferential) dimension For, the vertical dimension l 6 of the unit pattern is 1.3 mm, and the vertical diameter l 7 of the recess 13 is 0.4
mm, the vertical dimension l 8 of the inclined portion 14 is 0.2 mm, and the length l 9 of the continuous portion 15 is 0.5 mm. Furthermore, regarding the depth of the unit pattern, the distance l 10 between the bottom of the recess 13 and the top of the protrusion 16 is 0.12 mm, the distance l 11 between the surface of the continuous part 15 and the top of the protrusion 16 is 0.7 mm, and the surface of the continuous part 15 is and recess 13
The distance l 12 from the bottom is 0.5 mm. Here, the horizontal dimension l 1 of the unit pattern is 1.4 mm, and the vertical dimension l 6 is
1.3 mm, the horizontal diameter l 2 of the circular recess 13 is 0.5 mm, and the vertical diameter l 7 is
The reason why it is 0.4 mm is that after forming between the forming rolls 4 and 5, the template glass 6 is stretched while being passed through the slow cooling chamber 9.
The glass template 6 is completely stretched for conveyance. Therefore, by setting the dimensions as above in advance, the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the unit pattern will be approximately equal as a result,
Further, the recessed portion 13 also approaches a perfect circle. Also, the angle θ formed by the centers of the adjacent recesses 13, 13 is not 45°.
The reason why it is set at 42°53' is also due to the same reason. Note that the above dimensions are merely examples and are not limited thereto. In particular, the depth of the continuous pattern varies depending on the thickness of the molded glass 6 to be formed.
The maximum depth is preferably 0.12 mm or less in consideration of reinforcement, etc. In addition, the bottom surfaces of the recesses 13 in the continuous pattern 11 are located on substantially the same peripheral surface, and the protrusions 16 are discontinuously zigzag or curved for each unit pattern, and are not continuous linearly. 16, that is, the maximum depth of the pattern, should be 1% to 4% of the distance (minimum distance) between the bottom of the recess 13 and the outer peripheral surface of the other roll 4 (see Figure 1). This is preferable in order to obtain a predetermined strength while maintaining the non-transparent properties of the plate glass. Then, as shown in FIG. 1, the glass substrate 2 is formed between the forming roll 5 on which the continuous pattern 11 as described above is formed and the forming roll 4 having a flat peripheral surface. Then, a template glass 6 having a cross-sectional shape as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 is obtained. That is, a continuous pattern 17 is formed on one surface of the template glass 6, and the concave and convex portions are opposite to those of the continuous pattern 11, and the portions corresponding to the concave portions 13 and continuous portions 15 of the continuous pattern 11 are rounded convex portions 18. , 19, and the protruding portion 16
The portion corresponding to becomes the groove 20. And furthermore,
The depth of the groove 20 is 1% to 4% of the maximum thickness of the template glass 6, and the shape of the groove 20 is not linearly continuous across two or more unit patterns, and the convex portion 1
The rounded top surface of 8 is substantially flush with the entire continuous pattern 17. Next, Tables [1] and [2] show the strength comparison results between the patterned glass according to the present invention and conventional patterned glass.

[Table] As is clear from Tables [1] and [2], the product of the present invention has more than 2.5 times the impact strength and 1.5 times more bending strength than the conventional product. . As explained above, in the patterned glass according to the present invention, the depth of the concave portion of the continuous pattern formed on the surface of the patterned glass is 1% to 4% of the maximum thickness of the patterned glass, and the concave portion has two or more The unit patterns are not continuous in a straight line, and the top surfaces of the convex parts of each unit pattern are flush with each other, which increases strength without sacrificing the design and non-see-through properties that are the characteristics of patterned glass. You can improve your skills. Particularly, as shown in the examples, if the continuous patterns are made to have different depths, the non-see-through property can be further improved. Also, if the convex part is rounded, it will be less likely to leave marks. Further, since the recesses are not continuous in a straight line and the top surfaces of the recesses are substantially flush, when the material is rapidly cooled and strengthened, the way in which surface compressive stress is applied is improved, and the strength can be improved. On the other hand, the roll for molding glass according to the present invention exhibits many effects such as being able to produce the above-mentioned glass by applying the conventional roll-out method as is.
