Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain latent bulky multifilament having liveliness and a little reduction in bulkiness, comprising filament having sectional shape wherein three flat units of specific shape are radiately bonded at one point. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle of spinneret for forming this filament has a shape wherein slits 2 extending three directions from a central hole 1 are connected to flat units. Each flat unit has a shape wherein a pair of slit-shaped extrusion holes 3 and 4 are bonded at a connecting part 5 and an extrusion hole 6 of connecting part is set at approximately the center of the connecting part 5. In the shape, diameter of lB of an inscribed circle of the extrusion hole 6 of the connecting part is larger than maximum width lC of slit-shaped extrusion holes 3 and 4.

In the specification of No. 62-297774,
Discharging the polymer from a connected discharge hole in which a pair of slit-shaped discharge holes and a single discharge hole are connected via a slit,
At this time, by making the polymer flow discharged from a pair of discharge holes slower than the polymer flow discharged from a single discharge hole, the high-speed polymer flow can be pulsated without colliding with the low-speed polymer flow. It has been proposed to impart sufficient bulk and level dyeing properties to a woven or knitted fabric made of the obtained multifilament.

However, it has been found that when these bulky multifilament yarns are used for applications such as carpets that are stepped on by foot, the bulkiness of the product decreases as the number of steps is increased, and the product tends to become stiff. It has also been found that there are still problems such as the pile form formed in the carpet lacks tension (elasticity), has bulk but lacks elasticity, and has too soft texture.

Due to the difference in the degree of orientation between the connecting part and the flat part, there is a shrinkage difference between the two, and since there is a shrinkage difference in the connecting part due to pulsing in the longitudinal direction of the yarn, distortion occurs in the cross-sectional direction and longitudinal direction. Complicated crimp occurs due to the difference. This complex crimp gives the carpet excellent bulkiness, and also has a cross-sectional effect that cannot be obtained with a simple flat unit.
A bending hardness of ~3 and elasticity of 2 is obtained, which results in less sagging due to compression of the carpet.

Figures 1 and 2 show an example of connecting flat units in a trilobal shape, but as shown in Figure 3, the number of flat units may be increased by two or three in the longitudinal direction. . Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the flat units may be connected in four directions (in a cross shape). However, the number of radially extending branches is preferably limited to 5 to 7 directions at most in order to avoid complicating the shape of the cap. Although FIG. 5 shows a case where the center is hollow, it is basically the same as the case where it is solid.

The thermoplastic synthetic polymer referred to in the present invention refers to nylon-6,
It refers to polyamide polymers such as nylon-66, polyester polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polypropylene, and other thermoplastic synthetic polymers. It is preferable that the degree of polymerization of these polymers is as high as possible because orientation differences are likely to occur during spinning. For example, for nylon-6, [η] should be 1.3 or more, particularly 1.5 or more. is preferred.

In particular, the lower the [η] of the polymer, the faster the spinning speed needs to be, and the lower the melting temperature of the polymer during spinning, the more desirable it is in terms of giving a difference in orientation. It has a similar effect.

Further, it is preferable to rapidly cool the yarn discharged from the spinneret in order to create a difference in orientation, and it is better to rapidly cool the yarn by using a horizontal blowing cooling method rather than a vertical blowing cooling method.

After the yarn spun at high speed in this manner is applied with a finishing oil, in the case of nylon-6, it is stretched 1.2 to 2.0 times and wound up. This crimping of the yarn is achieved by heat-treating the yarn in the form of a carpet using steam or dry heat. In this case, heat during the dyeing process, packing process, etc. functions to develop crimp. However, in the case of spun-dyed yarn in which color pigments have been kneaded in advance at the polymer stage, a separate crimp development treatment is required.

In the case of cut carpets, as in the case of loop carpets, only Examples 1 and 2 according to the present invention showed good results. Here, the waist (elasticity) of the carpet increases,
The reason for improved durability is schematically shown in Figure 6 in Comparative Example-1 (
As shown in comparison with Figure a), in the case of the present invention (Figure b), the bending stiffness (EI) increases due to the cross-sectional effect, and the radially extending "fins" prevent the bile from falling due to the beam effect. Because it supports the carpet, it is thought that the effects are particularly additive in the case of carpet.

[Scope of Claim] A multifilament yarn composed of filaments made of a thermoplastic synthetic polymer and having a flat multilobal cross section, the constituent filaments having the following [A] and [ It has a flat unit that satisfies the conditions of [B] at the same time, and the flat unit is connected radially in at least three directions through one point, and at least one or more of the flat units are connected in a row. Potentially bulky multifilament yarn. [A] Cross section of flat unit [A]-1 shape (i) A connecting part that connects two pairs of flat parts arranged at intervals has both ends attached to the sides in the longitudinal direction of each flat part. Forming a pair of recesses facing each other while being joined. (ii) The inscribed circle diameter (l_B) of the connecting part is larger than the maximum inscribed circle diameter (l_C) (l_C') of each flat part divided by a straight line on the shortest distance between a pair of recesses. . [A]-2 The degree of orientation of the differential shrinkage connection portion is lower than that of the flat portion. [B] The longitudinal connection portion of the filament has a shrinkage difference due to uneven thickness.
