Abstract

CONSTITUTION:Melamine-alkyd resin is incorporated into the compsn. of a body sealer consisting of PVC, a pigment, a plasticizer and additives by about 4-6% (20-30% of the amt. of the PVC resin). Methylated melamine-alkyd resin, etc., having a low curing temp. is used as the melamine-alkyd resin. The leveling property of the sealer is improved and the rugged surface of the sealer after coating with a brush, etc., smoothes down and cures. Since the surface of the sealer is converted into an unrugged surface close to a plane surface, paint can be nearly uniformly adhered.
