Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 [産業上の利用分野コ 本発明は、例えばプラスチック又は紙等で形成した芯材
の片面にアルミニウム箔と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねて構
成した筒状容器と容器開口端に嵌合する蓋材を高周波誘
導加熱により溶着する筒状容器の高周波溶着装置に関す
るものである。
[従来の技術] 従来の此種装置としては第3図に示すように、筒状容器
Aの開口端に凹状をした蓋材Bを嵌合する。一方、筒状
容器Aの外周に高周波誘導加熱用コイルCを組込んだ絶
縁材治具pの内側にテーパー状治具Eを設け、このテー
パー状治具Eを蓋材Bに押込んで加熱溶着している。
テーパー状治具を蓋材へ押込む方法は、治具を固定し、
容器を下から突上げるか、容器を固定し治具及び加熱コ
イルを押し下げる方法がとられている。いずれの場合も
溶着時に上方もしくは下方への力が容器に加わりテーパ
ー状治具の作用により溶着面に対して垂直圧力が加わる
ようになっている。
[発明が解決しようとする課題] 前記従来の装置にあっては、溶着時に溶着部分に一定の
加圧力が必要なためで、加圧力が弱いと充分な溶着効果
が得られにい。
又、溶着面に加わる力の作用は蓋材の凹状部寸法のわず
かなバラツキに影響されるため、凹状部寸法精度を厳し
くしなければならず、プラスチック成形品の寸法選別が
必要となり、歩留りが向上できない。
更に、蓋材の凹状部の深さ寸法が数mm〜十数■と小さ
いため蓋材の寸法バラツキによって溶着強度が一定せず
、溶着不良が発生するという欠点をもっていた。
そこで、本発明はこれらの欠点を解決するために蓋材凹
状部の寸法バラツキが大きくても、常に溶着面に対して
一定の加圧力が加わり、一定の溶着強度が得られる筒状
容器の高周波溶着装置を提供するのが目的である。
C課題を解決するための手段コ 本発明は前記目的を達成するために、芯材の片面に金属
箔と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねて形成した筒状容器の開放
端に、同材料で形成した凹状の蓋材を嵌入して高周波溶
着する装置において、高周波加熱コイルを筒状容器の溶
着部外周に配置し。
溶着時に蓋材の凹状部内部において外周方向へ移動して
加圧する外周を垂直面で形成した数個に分割された溶着
用加圧治具を、蓋材の内側に位置させた筒状容器の高周
波溶着装置を提供するものである。
[作 用] 本発明においては筒状容器の開放端に凹状の蓋材を嵌合
し、これを高周波加熱コイルの内側に位置させ、溶着用
加圧治具を蓋材の内側に位置させ、溶着用加圧治具を外
周側に移動させて蓋材を加圧し、筒状容器に密着させ、
高周波加熱コイルに高周波電流を流し、誘導加熱で熱可
塑性樹脂を溶かして溶着させる。
溶着後は溶着用加圧治具を内側へ移動させて外周径を縮
小し、筒状容器を取り去る。
[実施例] 本発明の実施例を第1,2図に基いて詳細に説明すると
、lは円筒状の容器(以下筒状容器という)で、プラス
チック又は紙等の芯材で形成した筒の内周にアルミニウ
ム箔等の金属箔と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねて構成してい
る。2は蓋材で凹状に形成し、その外周に筒状容器に嵌
合する嵌合溝部3を設け、全体をプラスチック又は紙等
の芯材で形成し、その容器側にアルミニウム箔等の金属
箔と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねて構成している。
4は絶縁材治具で、中央に凸形をした操作用孔5を有し
、下端部に高周波加熱コイル6を設けている。
7は溶着用加圧治具で、全体が凸形で外周が垂直面に形
成され、前記操作用孔5内に嵌入できるようになってお
り、垂直分割面8.8’、8”から数分割(実施例では
3分割)に分割(第2図参照)できるようになっている
。そして、小径部9には外周にコイルバネ10を設けて
、溶着用加圧治具7を常時縮小方向(内周方向)側に付
勢している。この溶着用加圧治具7の中央に加圧用孔1
1を設け、この加圧用孔11の上部を上端が大径になる
テーパー面12で形成し、下端をテーパー面13で形成
したピストン棒14を嵌入できるようになっている。
本実施例は前記のように構成したもので、まずピストン
棒14を上方に位置させると、溶着用加圧治具7はコイ
ルバネ10の作用により中心方向へ縮む、このときの溶
着用加圧治具7の外径寸法は蓋材2の凹状部の内側寸法
より若干小さくなっている。
この状態で蓋材2を装着した筒状容器1を絶縁材治具4
内に挿入すると、第1図に示すように、蓋材2が溶着用
加圧治具7の外側に位置してセットされる。この後、ピ
ストン棒14を上方より加圧するとピストン棒14は下
降し、溶着用加圧治具7中心のテーパー状の加圧用孔1
1を外側へ広げる。このため溶着用加圧治具7の外周部
が蓋材2の内周部に当って加圧を行う。この状態を維持
しながら高周波加熱コイル6に高周波電流を流す。この
とき筒状容器lおよび蓋材2のアルミニウム箔部分が高
周波誘導加熱により発熱し、アルミニウム箔にコーティ
ングされた熱可塑性樹脂が溶融する。ピストン棒14は
加圧状態を維持しているので溶融した熱可塑性樹脂は互
いに交り合い筒状容器lと蓋材2は溶着される。
尚、高周波電流を切っても溶着面が一定温度以下になる
まで加圧は維持する必要がある。溶着面が一定温度以下
になったらピストン棒14を引き上げ筒状容器lを取り
出す。
溶着用加圧治具7は絶縁材及び導電材のどちらを用いて
もよく、溶着時の冷却効果を上げるためには水冷または
空冷することが望ましい。
[発明の効果] 本発明においては、溶着用加圧治具の外周寸法が蓋材凹
状部の寸法より小さくすることができるので、蓋材の寸
法精度を厳しくチエツクすることなく溶着することが可
能となり、蓋材の生産歩留りを向上することができる。
また、溶着用加圧治具は外周側に径を拡げることができ
るので、蓋材に多少のバラツキがあっても、容易に溶着
強度を設定することができ、かつ溶着不良をなくし、確
実、安定的に溶着を行うことができるなどの利点がある

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 芯材の片面に金属箔と熱可塑性樹脂を順次重ねて形成し
    た筒状容器の開放端に、同材料で形成した凹状の蓋材を
    嵌入して高周波溶着する装置において、高周波加熱コイ
    ルを筒状容器の溶着部外周に配置し、溶着時に蓋材の凹
    状部内部において外周方向へ移動して加圧する外周を垂
    直面で形成した数個に分割された溶着用加圧治具を、蓋
    材の内側に位置させたことを特徴とする筒状容器の高周
    波溶着装置。
