Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve wear life of a tray outer wheel by making a load resisting level of the outer wheel higher than that of an inner wheel in a rotary rack for lightweight articles such as buckets. CONSTITUTION:The width b2 of an outer wheel 4b is made greater than the width b1 of an inner wheel 4a in order to establish a load resisting level W2 for the outer wheel 4b which is higher than a load resisting level W1 of the inner wheel 4a. This arrangement helps to reduce the difference in life between tray inner and outer wheels otherwise caused by running at high speed, thus resulting in improved reliability.

The above-mentioned conventional technology is designed to reduce running wear caused by skidding of two or more inner and outer wheels of the same diameter that support a tray running in a straight line at 30 m/m (n or more) and turning at 19.2 rpm. No consideration has been given to the life of the wheels due to unbalanced loads, and the diameter d2 of the outer wheel and the diameter d1 of the inner wheel increase due to running wear at the swivel. It turned out that it was going to happen.

Also in the running operation of the rotating section, the load capacity is set in proportion to the skidding speed of the inner and outer wheels of the tray, so the running life of both wheels is approximately equal. With that,
Since the difference in running wear between the wheels attached to the inner and outer ends of the tray is smaller than that of wheels with the same load capacity, the wear life is averaged and reliability can be improved.
