In Fig. 2, ■ is a suction object, 2 is an electromagnet that attracts the suction object and makes it levitate, 3 is a gap sensor that detects the gap between the suction object 1 and the electromagnet 2, and 4 is an amplification of the output of the gap sensor. A sensor amplifier, 5 a gap setting device for presetting the gap between the suction object 1 and the electromagnet 2, and 6 a gap detected by the gap sensor 3 and a gap setting value set in the gap setting device 5; 7 is a power amplifier that supplies excitation current to the electromagnet 2 based on the output of the adjustment amplifier 6. Further, reference numeral 8 denotes a variable resistor provided in a circuit for feeding back the output of the adjustment amplifier 6, and is used to adjust the gain of the adjustment amplifier 6. Note that the suction object 1 is fixed to the side of a transport platform (not shown) that transports the workpiece, and the control circuit composed of the electromagnet 2 and parts 3 to 12 is mounted on the side of a driving cart (not shown) that travels while floating the transport platform. ing. In such a configuration, if an appropriate gap is set in the gap setting device 5 and the gain of the adjustment amplifier 6 is adjusted appropriately with the variable resistor 8 according to the setting value, the gap sensor 3 detects the gap. The excitation current of the electromagnet 2 is controlled so that the gap is maintained near the gap setting value.

As shown by the f-line, the gap remains constant even if the gap changes. Therefore, in the conventional device, if the gap becomes narrow during control due to some disturbance, the gain deviates from the optimum value for the control system, causing hunting and poor gap accuracy. The present invention addresses such problems and aims to provide an electromagnet control device that can provide stable operation even when the gap changes.

In a control device for an electromagnet equipped with a regulating amplifier, means is provided for automatically adjusting the gain of the regulating amplifier according to the gap between the electromagnet and the attracting object. The above-mentioned automatic adjustment means include one in which the feedback resistance of the adjustment amplifier is switched stepwise using a switch element, a divider or multiplier inserted in the feedback circuit of the adjustment amplifier to continuously change the amount of feedback, and one in which the feedback resistance is changed continuously. A conceivable method is one in which the resistance is continuously changed by a current-resistance conversion element.

Components that are the same as those of the conventional device are designated by the same reference numerals and explanations thereof will be omitted. FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a first embodiment of the invention. In FIG. 1, a plurality of feedback resistors 9 are connected in parallel to the feedback circuit of the adjustment amplifier 6, and a switch element 10 is inserted in series with each of these feedback resistors 9. On the other hand, the output of the gap sensor 3 amplified by the sensor amplifier 4 is further amplified by the buffer amplifier 11 and input to the level detector 12. The buffer amplifier 12 has a plurality of detection values, each output of which individually turns the switching element IO ON-OFF. In such a configuration, when the gap between the attraction object 1 and the electromagnet 2 is large, all the switch elements 10 are turned off and the gain of the adjustment amplifier 6 is maximized. Then, as the gap becomes smaller, the switching elements 10 are turned on one by one, and when all the switching elements 10 are turned on at the minimum gap, the gain becomes minimum. Its characteristics are step-like as shown by a and vil in FIG. The greater the number of switch elements 10, the smoother the gain control. FIG. 2 is a block diagram of main parts of a second embodiment of the invention. In the second embodiment, a divider 13 is inserted in the feedback circuit of the adjustment amplifier 6, so that the feedback amount is divided by the output of the buffer amplifier 11. As a result, the larger the gap, the smaller the amount of feedback, and therefore the larger the gain of the adjustment amplifier 6. Conversely, the smaller the gap, the smaller the gain. The characteristic becomes linear as shown by line b in FIG. FIG. 3 is a block diagram of main parts showing a third embodiment of the present invention. In the third embodiment, a current-resistance conversion element 14 is inserted in the feedback circuit. On the other hand, the output of the sensor amplifier 4 shown by the line d in FIG. 4 is inverted by the buffer amplifier 15 and inputted to the current-resistance conversion element 14 as shown by the line e in FIG. As a result, the gain has a characteristic that changes continuously as shown by line C in FIG. As the current-resistance conversion element 14, a photocoupler CdS type or FET type can be used.
