Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency by sending air to a pavement material after spraying a cooling liquid to the pavement material thereby accelerating the evaporation of the cooling liquid. CONSTITUTION:A cooling liquid of pulverized water made by an air-water mixture is sprayed out of a spray nozzle onto the surface of an asphalt pavement material A to be cooled. The spray nozzle is disposed on a wheel support frame 7 having wheels 8. Simultaneously with the spraying of the cooling liquid, a first and a second blowers 6 and 13 are driven to send air over the surface of the pavement material A to accelerate the evaporation of the cooling liquid. The first blower 6 is mounted on a support frame 2 carrying a power unit and spraying unit 5 and sends air into a tunnel-shaped cavity formed with a flexible sheet member 12 disposed to cover the wheel support frame 7 and the pavement material A. The second blower 13 sends air from the opposite side of the sheet member 12 into the tunnel-shaped cavity.

Furthermore, if the asphalt pavement is used for traffic when its surface temperature is approximately 50°C or higher, the supporting capacity of the asphalt pavement is small, and initial rutting and deformation are likely to occur in the asphalt pavement due to vehicle running. The pavement is opened to traffic when the surface temperature falls below approximately 50°C.

<Problems to be Solved by the Invention> However, in such conventional cooling methods, the cooling efficiency is not sufficiently high, so the cooling time is long and the proportion of the cooling time in the paving work time becomes high. This resulted in problems such as a decrease in paving work efficiency and a longer time until the road was opened to traffic.

When the asphalt pavement body A is cooled in this way,
Since the blown air promotes the vaporization of water on the surface of the asphalt pavement A, the asphalt pavement A can be efficiently cooled by the heat of vaporization of the water, thereby contributing to the opening of traffic in a short time and reducing traffic restrictions to the minimum ratio. . In particular, the seat member 12 is moved in the traveling direction of the vehicle (left and right directions in FIGS. 3 and 4).
Since the asphalt pavement A is extended along the same position, the asphalt pavement A at the same position can be cooled for a long time, and the cooling efficiency of the asphalt pavement A can be greatly improved. In addition, since the wheels 8 are arranged so as to straddle the asphalt pavement A to be cooled, when the surface layer of the asphalt pavement is peeled off for maintenance and repair etc. and a new asphalt pavement is laid, the new asphalt pavement is It is possible to cool the pavement without damaging it. Furthermore, since the seat member 12 is formed into a bellows structure, the seat member 12 and the wheel support frame 7 can be folded up as shown in FIG. By rotating it 90 degrees, it is compact and can be moved to other construction sites within the limits of a vehicle. In addition, in order to improve the cooling effect, a predetermined amount of surfactant is added to the spray water. When a surfactant is added, the surface tension of water is significantly reduced8, so water adheres flatly to the asphalt pavement surface, promoting water evaporation and greatly improving cooling efficiency. Specific examples of the surfactant include alcohol, aldehyde, fatty acid disoap, etc.
Household synthetic detergents are preferably used because of their ease of handling.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above, in claims 1 and 2 of the present invention, after spraying the cooling liquid onto the pavement to be cooled, air is blown toward the pavement or along the surface of the pavement. As a result, the pavement can be efficiently and quickly cooled by the heat of vaporization of the coolant, thereby reducing traffic regulation time. Further, in the third aspect, since the air guiding device is provided to guide the air in a predetermined direction, the vaporization of the cooling liquid can be greatly promoted by the air blowing, thereby greatly improving the cooling rate of the pavement.
