Often easy to understand. Therefore,
Composite communication of voice and strokes is being considered. Furthermore, for users who are accustomed to writing on regular paper, it is a burden to look at the image output screen (display) and the coordinate input panel (tablet) alternately, so it is effective to integrate the display and the tablet. be.

The tablet synchronization circuit 5 operates the tablet drive circuit 4 at regular intervals, and the tablet drive circuit 4 causes currents with different phases to flow through the tablet coils 3 to create a magnetic field. This magnetic field is an alternating magnetic field with a different phase for each tablet coil.
The input pen 7 has a coil and detects the voltage corresponding to the alternating current magnetic field at the position indicated through the display 2. This voltage is amplified by an amplifier 8 and input to a phase detector 9. The phase detector 9 calculates the X coordinate value and the Y coordinate value from the phase of the input from the amplifier 8.

Using raster scan, an electric field is applied to the light emitter of each pixel to cause it to emit light. Then, refresh the screen for each screen. At this time, noise appears in the output of the input pen. Therefore, there is a need for an integrated stroke input/output device that is free from the influence of image quality due to this refresh.

The timer 10 counts the tablet clock from the oscillator 12 with a frequency unrelated to the display synchronization circuit 11 and measures the clock periodically for a certain period of time (T D ).
A signal that becomes L level is sent to the tablet synchronization circuit 5, and the tablet synchronization circuit 5 drives the tablet every time the signal becomes L level.

た。 In the conventional integrated stroke input/output method, the synchronization of the display 2 and the synchronization of the tablet 1 are unrelated, so as shown in Fig. 3, noise N due to refresh synchronized with the vertical synchronization signal VS of the display 2 is generated. , may occur during the tablet drive period TD , and the tablet 1 may malfunction. It is possible to remove this noise by applying a filter to the output of the input pen, but
In this case, the amount of hardware increases accordingly, and the detection accuracy also deteriorates, which is difficult.

In a stroke input/output device that is integrated with an image output section that performs raster scan display and is refreshed for each screen, a synchronization signal for each screen of the image output section is received, and a periodic signal synchronized with the synchronization signal is transmitted. This is achieved by providing a stroke input/output integrated system characterized by having a clock generating means and determining the drive period of the coordinate input section based on the periodic signal.

In FIG. 4, the timer 13 counts and measures the tablet clock from the oscillator 12, and periodically sends a signal that becomes L level for a certain period of time (T D ) to the tablet synchronization circuit 5. As shown in Figure 5,
The count value is controlled so that the timer output T goes to the L level while avoiding the period in which the refresh noise N occurs. Therefore, no refresh noise occurs when the tablet is driven.
