[発明の目的]
〈産業上の利用分野〉
本発明は、写像、を定着させるべく被転写手段を一対の
ロールをもって加熱し、かつ加圧する電子写真装置の熱

〈従来の技術〉
複写機等の電子写真プロセスを用いた電子写真装置にて
トナーを紙等の被転写手段に転写した後に定着させる熱
定着ロール装置に於ては、加熱ロールと圧着ロールとを
互いに密着させ、両ロールが互いに接するニップ部分に
被転写手段を通過させ、トナーを加熱すると同時に被転
写手段に圧着させるようにしているが、従来は加熱ロー
ルが昇温するまでに比較的長い時間を要していることか
ら、例えば同一出願人による特願昭63−57279号
明細書には、加熱ロールにシリコン発泡ゴム等断熱層を
設け、この断熱層表面に軸線方向−端から他端に向けて
螺旋状に延在するスリット状空隙を有する抵抗発熱層を
形成する構造が提案されている。この構造によれば発熱
層のみが昇温すれば上記した定着プロセスを行い得るこ

スリット状空隙を広めにとるとその製造が容易になるが
、他方では定着むらの発生を防止するべく抵抗発熱層表
面の硬さを均一化し、核層の全面に亘り均一に昇温させ
る必要があるために発熱しない上記スリット状空隙を可

層に対して絶縁されると共に前記スリット状空隙内また
はスリット状空隙の近傍に配設されて該空隙に沿って延
在する抵抗発熱線とを有することを特徴とする電子写真
装置の熱定着ロール装置を提供することにより達成され

に於て、第1図に於ける右側より矢印Aの方向に搬送さ
れる被転写用紙9がコロナ帯電手段からなる帯電部5a
により帯電されると同時にドラム1の表面部分に付着し
たトナーが用紙9に転写される。トナーを転写した後の
感光ドラム1の表面部分は清掃部6を通過し、残留トナ
ーが清掃される。そして露光ランプからなる除電部7に
於て軸線方向に概ね−様な電位に除電され再び上記した
プロセスを繰返すこととなる。一方、用紙9に転写され
たトナーは、定着部8に於て、加熱されると同時に用紙

抵抗発熱層16と、弗素樹脂からなる保護層21とがこ
の順に積層されている。また、断熱層15、抵抗発熱層
16及び保護層21の各層間には、接着剤層が設けられ
ている。この接着剤層は、両ロール10.11の作動に
際して、断熱層15、抵抗発熱層16及び保護層21が

に軸線方向に隣接する部分間にはスリット状空隙18が
螺旋状に郭成されている。また、空隙18内には、絶縁
被覆されたニクロム線からなる抵抗発熱線19が埋設さ
れている。この抵抗発熱線19は、空隙18に沿って加

の全面に亘り均一に発熱し、即ち加熱ロールがその全面
に亘り均一に昇温するる。また、スリット状空隙部分と
他の部分との硬さが概ね均一となることか、ら、被転写
手段との密着性も向上し、被転写手段への定着性が向上
