本発明は、トナーを1対のロールを用いて被転写手段に
加熱し圧着させることにより、写像を定着させる電子写

た後に定着させるには、発熱ランプ等からなる発熱部を
中心に有すると共に金属等の熱良導体からなる筒状部材
がこの発熱部を外囲する加熱ロールと、合成ゴム等のエ
ラストマ材が外嵌された圧着ロールとを互いに密着させ
、両ロールが互いに接するニップ部分に前記した被転写
手段を通過させ、トナーを加熱すると同時に被転写手段

願昭62−309339号明細書に記載されているよう
に、金属粉を含有するポリイミド、エポキシ或いはシリ
コン等の耐熱性樹脂を用いるが、このような樹脂系発熱
層は層の厚みが不均一になることに起因してその抵抗値
が不安定となり、常に好適な発熱量が得られないことが

したトナーが用紙9に転写される。トナーを転写した後
の感光ドラム1の表面部分は清掃部6を通過し、残留ト
ナーが清掃される。そして露光ランプからなる除電部7
に於て軸線方向に概ね−様な電位に除電され再び上記し
たプロセスを繰返すこととなる。一方、用紙9に転写さ
れたトナーは、定着部8に於て、加熱されると同時に用

厚みが周方向及び軸線方向に沿って均一になりその抵抗

の画質が向上することから本発明の効果は極めて大であ
