Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the stable input processing by installing a pair of transport belts on both side positions of an original and installing a photoelectric sensor which detects the gap between the edge of the original and both sides of the input standard position of the original and detects the skew of the original. CONSTITUTION:Conveyor belts 4 and 5 for transporting an original 2 to an original read-out position are installed onto both side positions of the original, and the photoelectric sensors 8 and 9 for detecting the skew of the original 2 by detecting the gap between the edge of the original 2 and both sides of the input standard position 7 of the original are installed. When the skew of the original 2 is detected, the transport belt 4 and 5 at the position on the side where the gap is detected is revolution-driven in the reverse direction, and skew is corrected by continuing the operation until the gap is eliminated. Therefore, the original to be read out is correctly transport to the input standard position 7, and the stable input processing is carried out.

The sheets are fed out one by one by the paper feed section 3 and conveyed by the conveyor belt 14 to the glass surface 6 of the input scanner. Further, the conveyor belt 14 rotates in the reverse direction, abuts the read document 2 against the input reference position 7, and sends it out to the paper discharge section 10 after input processing.

[Means for Solving the Problems 1] The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and as a means of solving the problems, the present invention provides a means for moving a cut paper document placed on a document table to a predetermined document using a conveyor belt. In an automatic document feeder that transports a document to a reading position and discharges the document to a paper discharge section after reading, the above-mentioned conveyor belt for conveying the document to the document reading position is provided with a length of 2 jft on both sides of the document, and the conveyor belt is provided on both sides of the document input reference position. A photoelectric sensor is provided which detects the gap between the document edge and the edge of the document, detects the skew of the document, and drives the conveyance belt at the gap detection side position to correct the skew of the document.

[実施例] 以下、図面を用いて本発明の実施例を詳細に説明する。[Example] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings.

Next, the operation will be explained. First, several originals 2 set on the original table 1 are fed one by one from the paper feed section 3, and are sent to the glass surface 6 of the input scanner by both conveyor belts 4 and 5. It will be done. Furthermore, the conveyor belts 4 and 5 rotate in reverse,
The original 2 is brought into contact with the input reference position 7. In this state, the photoelectric sensors 8 and 9 operate to detect the presence or absence of a gap between the input reference position 7 and the leading edge of the document 2. If either the photoelectric sensor 8 or 9 recognizes that there is a gap cloth, the conveyor belt 4 or 5 starts to rotate in the opposite direction by itself toward the same side until the gap between the manual reference position 7 and the leading edge of the document 2 disappears. Continue the operation 11 times to correct the skew on the input 2Si quasi-plane.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention provides an automatic document feeder that conveys a cut paper document placed on a document tray to a predetermined document reading position using a conveyor belt, and discharges it to a paper discharge section after reading. In this system, two sets of the above-mentioned conveyance belts for conveying the original to the original reading position are provided at positions on both sides of the original, and skewed feeding of the original is detected by detecting a gap between both sides of the input reference position of the original and the edge of the original. Since the structure is equipped with a photoelectric sensor that drives the conveyor belt at the gap detection side position to correct the skew of the document, the photoelectric sensor for detecting the skew of the read document at the input reference position controls one of the conveyor belts. You can correct skew by moving the
This has the effect of realizing stable conveyance of the scanned original.
