Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the surface and the reverse side of an object by deciding the surface and the reverse side directions of the object which pass through between electrodes from a value of the capacitance measured by a capacitance measuring part. CONSTITUTION:When a conductive object 1 of a fixed shape passes through on an object carrying chuter 7 and goes into a space inserted and held upward and downward by an electrode (base part) 4 and an electrode (upper part) 3, the capacitance between the electrodes 4, 3 is measured by a capacitance measuring part 5. In this case, in the case when a surface/reverse side specifying part 2 of the object 1 is in the upper part, and in the case when it is in the lower part, the volume of the capacitance space measured between the electrodes 4, 3 becomes small. Therefore, the measured capacitance becomes larger in the case when the surface/reverse side specifying part is in the lower part than in the case when it is in the upper part. Accordingly, by detecting a difference of this capacitance by an object surface/reverse side deciding part 6, the surface and the reverse side of the object 1 which passes through the chuter 7 is decided.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for detecting the front and back sides of an object. [Prior art] Conventionally, this type of object front and back detection method uses, for example, a laser reflection type sensor, and after positioning the target object, a laser beam is irradiated to a specific part of the front and back, e.g., a surface depression, to measure the depth of the specific part. They measured it and determined whether it was front or back. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the conventional object front and back detection methods described above, after positioning the target object, laser light must be irradiated to specific parts of the front and back, making it difficult to adjust the position of the laser reflective sensor. There was a drawback. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for detecting the front and back sides of an object that solves the above problems. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the object front and back detection method according to the present invention uses pairs arranged to sandwich a target object of a certain shape vertically in parallel at a target object passing position. From the electrodes forming a , a capacitance measurement unit that measures the capacitance between the electrodes, and the capacitance value measured by the capacitance measurement unit! It has a target object front and back determination unit that determines the front and back direction of the target object that has passed between the poles. [Example] Next, the present invention will be explained using drawings. FIG. 1 is a schematic configuration diagram showing an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram of a method for determining whether an object is front or back. In FIG. 1, the object front and back detection method of the present invention forms a pair in which a chestnut object 1 is sandwiched from above and below! It is composed of four poles 3 and an electrode (base part) 4, a capacitance measuring section 5, an object front/back determining section 6, and an object transport chute 7. Next, the object front and back detection method will be explained using Figures 1 and 2. When a conductive target object 1 having a certain shape as shown in FIG. ,electrode(
The capacitance between the base part) 4 and the electrode (top part) 3 is measured by the capacitance measurement part 5. At this time, as shown in Figure 2,
In case A, where the front and back specific parts 2 of the target object 1 are located above, and in case B, where the front and back specific parts 2 of the target object 1 are located below,
The volume of the capacitance space 9 is smaller than that of the capacitance space 8 measured between the electrode (base) 4 and the t-pole (top) 3.
Therefore, the capacitance to be measured is larger in case B when the front and back specific parts are below than in case A when the front and back specific parts are above.
Therefore, by detecting this difference in capacitance by the target object front/back determining unit 6 in FIG. 1, it becomes possible to determine whether the target object 1 passing through the target object transport chute 7 is front or reverse. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the present invention makes it possible to detect the front and back sides of a target object by measuring the capacitance between the electrodes when the target object passes, and to position the target object and determine the delicate position of the sensor. This has the advantage that there is no need to make adjustments.
