(Conventional Faucet Apparatus) FIG. 4 is a partially sectional front view of a conventional hot water/cold water mixing faucet (hereinafter referred to as a conventional faucet) designed for use in cold regions. The conventional water faucet has a water supply pipe 51 that protrudes from the wall of a building frame.
A faucet main body 50 was connected and held to the hot water supply pipe 52, and the faucet main body 50 was provided with a flow rate control valve 55 for water and a flow rate control valve 56 for hot water. In this type of conventional faucet, the flow rate control valve 55 adjusts the amount of water from the water supply pipe 51, and the flow rate control valve 56 adjusts the amount of hot water from the hot water supply pipe 52, so that the discharge pipe 53 provides the appropriate temperature and appropriate amount of hot water. It was designed to discharge a mixture of hot water. Furthermore, by operating a handle 61 provided on the front of the faucet main body 50, the mixed hot water could be spouted from a shower (not shown) via a branch pipe 54.

Incidentally, the faucet main body 50 was provided with a water drain plug 59 and a hot water drain plug 60 on its lower surface side. By rotating the drain tap 59 in the loosening direction, the water supply chamber 5 in the faucet main body 50 can be opened.
0a, the water flow chamber 50b, and the water remaining in the water supply pipe 51 can be discharged to the outside of the faucet body 50. Similarly, the hot water drain faucet 60 is connected to the hot water supply chamber in the faucet body 50. The hot water remaining in the hot water supply chamber (both not shown) and the hot water supply pipe 52 can be discharged. Therefore, measures have been taken to prevent residual hot water from freezing, which tends to occur in winter (particularly at night), and to prevent damage to the faucet body 50 and the like.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) Needless to say, the drain plug 59 and the hot water drain plug 60 have to be positioned at the bottom of the faucet main body 50, that is, on the lower surface thereof.
Therefore, the check valves 57 and 58, which are generally indispensable for faucet equipment, have to be placed on the upper surface side of the faucet body 50 due to space constraints. However, in non-cold regions where the water drain plug 59 and the hot water drain plug 60 are not required, it is desirable to arrange the check valves 57 and 58 on the lower surface side of the faucet body 50 from the viewpoint of appearance. . In fact, in faucet appliances (not shown) designed for non-cold regions, check valves are often disposed on the lower surface of the faucet body. Therefore, at the manufacturing stage of faucet equipment, it is necessary to distinguish between those for cold regions and those for non-cold regions at all stages from parts manufacturing to assembly to product stock. Inventory sorting and distribution management had become extremely confusing. Of course, this inevitably led to a rise in manufacturing costs.

The present invention was developed in view of the above circumstances, and by adopting a structure that allows water or hot water to be drained as necessary, the product type can be differentiated between cold region specifications and non-cold region specifications. To provide a new faucet device (hereinafter referred to as the "invented faucet") that can be used in both cold and non-cold regions, which eliminates the problem and solves various problems at the manufacturing and sales stages at once. With the goal.

(Function) The check valve allows hot water or water remaining in the faucet body to be discharged through the socket by removing the drain plug. Of course, since the valve mechanism is provided at the upward open end of the socket, the check valve also has a sufficient function as a check valve. That is, it has become possible to arrange both a drain plug (or hot water drain plug) and a check valve on the lower surface of the faucet body. When the faucet of the present invention is used in a cold region, the drain plug can be removed to prevent residual hot water from freezing, and in non-cold regions, the drain plug does not need to be removed. Even if the drain plug is not removed in a non-cold region, since the drain plug is located on the lower surface of the faucet main body, it is unlikely to cause poor appearance. After all, whether or not to remove the drain plug from the socket can be done at will based on the user's judgment or necessity.
Therefore, with the proposed faucet, it is no longer necessary to prepare for both cold region and non-cold region specifications.

As shown in FIG. 3, the valve mechanism section 13 provided at the upward open end of the socket tool 11 has a cylindrical shape with a lid as a whole, and has a plurality of protrusions 13a, 13a on its outer peripheral surface. , ... are arranged protrudingly in an evenly spaced manner. As shown in FIG. 1, each of the protrusions 13a has a dimensional relationship such that its protruding edge comes into sliding contact with the sliding surface 11a of the socket tool 11, so that each protrusion 13a, 13a, . . . The outer peripheral surface of the valve mechanism section 13 and the socket tool 1 are located between the mutually protruding circumferences.
A passage through which water flows is formed between the first sliding surface 11a and the first sliding surface 11a. Further, a dish-shaped gasket 15 (see FIG. 3) is attached to the lid surface of the valve mechanism section 13, and an elastic force is generated between the gasket and the drain plug 12 inside the gasket 15 (see FIG. 3). A spring 14 is housed therein. Therefore, the valve mechanism section 13 is biased by the urging force of the spring 14.
It comes to be pressed against the partition wall 1a between the water flow chamber 1B and hot water mixing chamber 1C formed inside the faucet body 1, and the water flow hole 1b bored in the partition wall 1a is opened by the dish-shaped gasket 15. It's starting to get blocked. Note that, even when the drain plug 12 is screwed off from the socket tool 11, the valve mechanism section 13 has the projections 13a, 13a, . . . carved on the downward open end of the socket tool 11. It is hooked onto a female screw to prevent it from falling.

The flow reaches the water passage chamber 1B in accordance with the degree of opening of the flow rate valve 4a in the flow rate control valve 4. And the water passage chamber 1
Due to the increase in the internal pressure of B, the valve mechanism section 13 of the check valve 10
is pushed open and water flows into the hot water mixing chamber 1C. In addition, in the event that a backflow from the hot water mixing chamber 1C occurs, the check valve 10 closes the water passage hole 1b of the partition wall 1a. Similarly, hot water from the hot water supply pipe 7 flows into the hot water mixing chamber 1C via a hot water supply room and a hot water supply room (both not shown). And the hot water mixing chamber 1C
After the water and hot water are mixed inside, the mixed hot water is discharged from the discharge pipe 3. In addition, as shown in FIG. 2, by operating a handle 8 provided on the front side of the faucet body 1, mixed hot water in the hot water mixing chamber 1C is supplied from a shower (not shown) via a branch pipe 2. It can also be made to squirt.

(Study of Alternative Embodiments) The faucet main body 1 is not limited to a hot/cold water mixed faucet, but may be a single faucet or the like. Further, even when the faucet main body 1 is a hot water mixing faucet, it is possible to have a structure in which the temperature of the discharged hot water is automatically adjusted by a thermostat or the like. Of course, the structure and mounting position of the check valve may be changed as appropriate depending on these aspects. Furthermore, in the conventional faucet shown in FIG. 4, the water supply pipe 51 and the hot water supply pipe 52 are connected to the faucet main body 50 in a downwardly inverted V-shape, but in the present faucet, A similar connection structure can also be adopted. In this case, the residual water in the water supply chamber 1A and the water supply pipe 6 in the faucet body 1 and the residual hot water in the hot water supply chamber (not shown) in the faucet body 1 and the hot water supply pipe 7 are also discharged. becomes possible. In this way, the configuration and shape of the faucet of the present invention can be changed as appropriate depending on the mode of implementation.

``Effect of the invention'' As is clear from the above explanation, according to the faucet device of the present invention that can be used in cold regions, the drain tap (or hot water drain tap) and non-return stopper are attached to the bottom surface of the faucet body. Both valves can be attached without increasing the size of the faucet body. In addition, on the top side of the faucet body,
Since there is no need to install a check valve or the like, it has a clean appearance. Furthermore, since there is no need to manufacture both cold region specifications and non-cold region specifications separately, it is not only possible to significantly improve manufacturing efficiency at the manufacturing stage.
It will be possible to save labor. Furthermore, at the sales stage, it is possible to minimize the amount of effort and mistakes in mixing different items in inventory sorting and distribution management. Furthermore, the faucet is designed to allow easy drainage of water and hot water, so if you do this regularly even in non-cold regions, you can prevent clogging and contamination caused by dirt and limescale. It has many excellent advantages such as:
