B. Prior Art and Problems A vehicle engine cooling system includes a condenser, a circulation path that circulates a refrigerant between the engine and the condenser, and a water pump that flows the refrigerant through the circulation path that includes the engine and the condenser.

By the way, if the condenser is installed at the top of the engine, the liquid phase refrigerant condensed in the condenser will naturally fall into the water jacket of the engine under its own weight, eliminating the need for a water pump.

However, this is not possible in large vehicles, especially large vehicles with tilting cabs, because the cab floor is located just above the engine. Therefore, it is unavoidable to install the condenser of the cooling system at the front of the engine, and install a water pump in the middle of the return circulation path to forcefully circulate the refrigerant. Therefore, as a matter of course, fuel efficiency deteriorated. Incidentally, published patent No. 1986-500140 is known as related technology.

C. Purpose of the invention The present invention was made in view of the above, and its purpose is to eliminate the water pump by automatically circulating the refrigerant by natural lifting and lowering. The goal is to protect the device from rain, etc., to fully demonstrate its cooling function, and to increase its durability.

D. Structure of the invention In order to achieve the above object, the structure of the invention is such that an engine is provided under the floor of the lower part of the cab of a cab-over type vehicle, and a capacitor is placed in a space between the cab and the cargo bed and above the engine. The vehicle is characterized in that an electric cooling fan is attached to the condenser, and the cab is provided with a roof plate extending toward the loading platform.

The cab 1 is a tilting cab, and the engine E is provided below the floor 2 at the bottom thereof. Loading platform 3
is provided at the rear of the cab 1, and a space 4 is provided between the cab 1 and the cab 1. The spaces 4 have an interval of approximately 300 mm in the case of a medium-sized vehicle, and an interval of 300 mm or more in the case of a large-sized vehicle.
In this space 4 located above the engine E, a capacitor 5 is mounted on the loading platform 3 side via a bracket 6 and is provided in an oblique state. Between the engine E and this condenser 5 is a circulation path 7a,
7b so that the refrigerant circulates through circulation paths 7a and 7b that include the engine E and the condenser 5. Further, an electric cooling fan 8 is attached to the condenser 5 for cooling, and a roof plate 9 is provided on the top of the cab 1 extending toward the loading platform 3 to protect it from direct sunlight, rain, etc. It is provided as shown in Figure 2.

Since the condenser 5 is provided above the engine E in the space 4 between the cab 1 and the loading platform 3, the refrigerant that has become water vapor rises and moves to the condenser 5 where it is condensed. The liquid phase refrigerant condensed in step 5 falls to the engine E side due to its own weight, and the refrigerant circulates within the cooling device by natural ascent and descent. Therefore, the water pump for forced circulation is eliminated, thereby significantly reducing fuel consumption.

In addition, an electric cooling fan 8 is attached to the condenser 5 to actively cool the condenser 5, and a roof plate 9 is provided on the top of the cab 1 and extends toward the loading platform 3.
This protects it from direct sunlight, rain, etc., fully demonstrates its cooling function, and increases durability. As shown in FIG. 2, by extending the sheet 10 on the side surface of the space 4 between the cab 1 and the loading platform 3, the intrusion of dust, rain, etc. can be prevented and durability can be further increased.

The roof plate 9 extending toward the loading platform 3 can be made wide as shown in FIG. 3, so that the sheet provided on the side surface can be omitted.

b. Effects of the invention As stated above, the present invention provides a condenser in the space between the cab and the cargo bed of a cab-over type vehicle and above the engine, attaches an electric cooling fan to the condenser, and extends the capacitor to the cab and the cargo bed side. By providing existing roof panels, the refrigerant is automatically circulated through its natural rise and fall, making it possible to eliminate the need for a water pump. In addition, the condenser and electric cooling fan are protected from direct sunlight and rain, allowing the cooling function to be fully demonstrated and increasing durability.
