In the present invention, a dot printer prints a sheet received from a receiving opening via a pair of receiving conveying rollers, and then the sheet is discharged from an opening on the discharging side via a pair of discharging conveying rollers.
The present invention relates to a printing device covered with a casing, and particularly to a printing device for originals used in combination with an image reading device having an automatic document feeder. 1. As an image forming apparatus having an automatic document feeder and a document printing mechanism provided in the automatic document feeder, the one shown in FIG. -118
(See Publication No. 231). However, with conventional equipment like this, no particular measures have been taken to reduce noise. The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems in the prior art, and provides a printing device that is provided separately from an automatic document feeder and that prints necessary information on a sheet of a document or the like. Our objective is to provide a printing device that reduces the noise generated by a dot printer. In order to solve the above-mentioned problem IB, the invention of claim 1 provides a method for printing a sheet received from a receiving side opening via a pair of receiving side transport rollers using a dot printer, and then ejecting the sheet. In a printing device covered with a casing that discharges the sheet from a discharge side opening via a pair of side conveyance rollers, the receiving side and discharge side conveyance roller pairs are both in contact with each other over the entire width in a direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction, and , characterized in that one of the pair of conveying rollers is covered with a sound absorbing material, and in addition to the above, the present invention is characterized in that one roller of the pair of conveying rollers is covered with a sound absorbing material, and in addition to the above, the dot printer is arranged on the side of the sheet conveying surface where the dot printer is arranged. A sound absorbing material is attached to the front and rear surfaces of the casing in the sheet conveyance direction, and the receiving side conveyance roller and the discharge side conveyance roller are respectively disposed in proximity to the sound absorbing material. According to the invention of claim 1, since both the receiving side and the discharge overturn conveying roller pair are brought into contact with each other over the entire width in the direction perpendicular to the sheet conveying direction, and one roller of both the conveying roller pairs is covered with a sound absorbing material, The noise generated in the dot printer is prevented from radiating outside between the pair of conveying rollers, and in the invention according to claim 2, in addition to the above, sound absorbers are attached to the front and rear casing walls in the sheet conveying direction, In addition, by arranging both conveyance rollers near the sound-absorbing material, transmission of noise to the outside from the front and rear walls can be prevented, and leakage of noise from the gap between both rollers and the casing can be reduced. . Support - LJI Figure 1 shows the configuration of an entire system in which an endorser, which is an example of the printing device of the present invention, is combined with a document reading device (scanner) equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF). ADF section 50 The document d loaded on the document table 5l passes through the conveyance path of the ADF one by one from the bottom and is transferred to the conveyor belt 52.
The original document is conveyed to a predetermined position on the contact glass 101 of the scanner section 100 and stopped with the document surface facing downward, and the image information of the document is read by the scanner section 100.
The original d whose image has been read is sent again by the conveyor belt 52, and is transferred to the endorser 20 covered with the casing 1.
The endorser 20 is
transported inside. In the endorser 20, the document d
is stopped at a predetermined position, and the dot printer 2 prints necessary information on a part of the image side (for example, the X part in FIG. 2). The printed document d is transferred to the document stacker 8 from the paper passage opening 7b, which is an opening on the discharge side, by conveyance roller pairs 3, 4, 5, and 6, which are examples of a pair of reception side conveyance rollers and a pair of discharge side conveyance rollers, respectively. It is discharged to. When the document d is printed in the endorser 20, a printing sound is generated from the dot printer 2, and this is as shown in FIGS.
It diverges in the direction shown by arrows A-F in the figure and tries to leak to the outside. On the other hand, in this embodiment, the conveyor roller pairs 3, 4, and 5
.
A sound absorbing material 9 and lO are attached to b, and a pair of conveying rollers 3,
4, 5, and 6 are arranged close to sound absorbing materials 9 and 10, respectively. In FIGS. 3 and 4, the conveyor roller pair 3
, 4, 5, and 6, the outsides of the rollers 3 and 5 are covered with cylindrical sponge-like sound absorbing materials 3a and 5a. On the other hand, since the rollers 4 and 6 on the other side are on the printing surface side, the central portions 4a and 6a are made of a material such as polyacetal resin or plastic that can reduce dirt and can be cleaned. It is made of polyacetal with a surface finish applied to the four triangles, and both ends 4b and 6b are made of rubber layers as contact driving parts for the conveyance rollers 3 and 5. Then, each pair of conveying rollers 3 and 4
and 5 and 6 are made into a continuous cylindrical shape so that they are in contact with each other throughout the width direction. By adopting such a roller configuration, compared to a normal roller to which the present invention is not applied as shown in FIG.
The noise leaking to the outside via a and -7b will be significantly reduced. Note that the conveyor rollers 3 and 5 are made of a sponge-like sound absorbing material. Because of this, the surface has elasticity and the document d is conveyed smoothly. The sound absorbing materials 9 and 10 shown in FIG. 1 are made of HU-4K manufactured by Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. and have a thickness of 10 mm in this embodiment. By applying the present invention as described above, the printing sound of the dot printer 2, which leaked directly and greatly in each direction as shown by the size of the arrow AI-F1 in FIG. As shown by the arrows A to F in FIG. 2, the device has significantly reduced it. When this situation is shown in the results of print sound frequency analysis, as shown in Figure 8, before applying the present invention, the
In this embodiment, the high level printing sound exceeding 100 dB (A) was reduced to <65 dB(A) or less as shown in FIG.肱一-1 As described above, according to the present invention, in the invention of claim 1, the roller pair is made into a cylindrical shape and one roller is covered with a soundproof material, so that the outside can be passed from between the receiving side and the discharging side roller pair. The leaking printing noise of the dot printer can be reduced, and in addition to the above, by attaching a soundproofing material to the casing and providing a pair of rollers close to it, the casing surface and the casing receiving surface can be reduced. It is possible to reduce the printing noise transmitted to the outside through the space between the side and discharge side conveyor roller rows.
