Abstract

PURPOSE:To specify information to be adjusted later at the time of initial adjustment by punching a through hole on a prescribed position of a magnetic recording medium on which other information is recorded at the time of initial adjustment of charge based upon a magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:When a through hole is not punched on the code position of a magnetic bar code 2 of a magnetic card 3, a through-hole is punched on the prescribed position of the card by punch mechanisms 26A, 26B and the succeeding adjustment is specified to a specific company. When the through-hole is punched on the code position of the magnetic bar code 2 of the magnetic card 3, the prescribed position of the code is decided on the basis of information obtained from magnetic heads 23a, 23b and optical readers 23A, 23B, and when the card is a magnetic card 3 adjusted by the company itself, the adjustment is enabled. In case of the magnetic card 3 adjusted by another company, its adjustment is disabled.

Such cards are obtained by paying a certain amount in advance. Thereafter, each time the card is used, the amount used is subtracted from the amount information on the magnetic recording medium of the card, and the data of the reduced amount is rewritten on the magnetic recording medium. At the same time, the card has a punch hole punched in the corresponding amount display area printed on the front surface of the card in accordance with the amount to be used.

The payment method using the card is as described above. Therefore, according to the above-mentioned conventional payment settlement system using a card, if the person issuing the card and the person receiving the payment using the card are the same, there will be no problem regarding the distribution of the payment. If the issuer and the person who receives the payment by card are separate entities, and each person who receives the payment by card is a separate entity, then the settlement of accounts will be between the issuer and the person receiving the payment. The disadvantage is that complicated processing must be performed to do so.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the card payment system according to the present invention uses a magnetic recording medium having a magnetic recording medium on which monetary information is recorded and a magnetic recording medium on which other information is recorded. In a system where payments are made by card, a through hole is drilled at a predetermined position on the magnetic recording medium where other information is recorded when the payment is first made using the magnetic card, and subsequent payments are made using the 538m hole. It is characterized by specifying what can be done.

Here, when reading the magnetic recording medium on which other information of the magnetic card is recorded, if there is no through hole,
A through hole is drilled at a predetermined position of the magnetic recording medium on which other information is recorded, and the through hole is used to specify the item that can be used for future payment settlement. In addition, if a through hole is found as a result of reading the magnetic recording medium on which other information of the magnetic card is recorded, if the position of the through hole is yours, you should pay the bill and use another information. It was made so that payment could not be made at the time of the transaction.

The present embodiment operates as described above, and when a through hole is not formed at the position of the code 2a of the magnetic barcode 2 of the magnetic card 3, a second jump is shown at a predetermined position of the code 2a. A through hole is drilled in this way, and subsequent settlements are specified to a specific company. On the other hand, in this embodiment, when a through hole is formed at the position of the code 2a of the magnetic barcode 2 of the magnetic card 3, a predetermined position of the code 2a is read by the first optical reader 23A and the magnetic barcode 23A. Judging from the information from the Herad 22a, if the magnetic card 3 was used for payment by one's own company, the payment is possible, and if the payment was made by another company and the magnetic card 3 is used, payment is disabled.
