Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily perform operation eliminating dust and the like by holding a disk with projections between two lines, and not overlapping projections along two lines when they are seen in the vertical direction to a flat surface. CONSTITUTION: Plural projections 2 extending in the direction of circumference along either of two lines separated each other in parallel to a flat surface of a carrier plate 10 and with an interval decided by width of a disk are formed on an inner wall of one part of a piercing hole 13 of the carrier plate 10, and a disk is held by these projections 20. Also, projections are provided on two lines alternately, and are made not to overlap when they are seen along a vertical line to a flat surface of the carrier plate 10. Thereby, eliminating operation of dust and the like can be easily performed.

No. 81, No. 4,634,512 and No. 4,734.5
No. 49 includes a carrier plate having a plurality of generally circular through holes of approximately the same size as the disks to be processed, and a circular hole formed along the upper half of each of the circular through holes and slightly larger than the through holes. Disclosed is a disc carrier (disc transport member) having an arcuate recess. Along the lower half of the through-hole, a groove is formed in the inner wall of this through-hole, and each disk to be treated is first brought manually or robotically into the slightly larger recess mentioned above, and then
The lower portion is positioned within the groove with both surfaces exposed through the through hole.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The above-mentioned and other objects of the present invention are achieved by providing a disk carrier as follows. That is, the disc carrier has one or more generally circular through holes recessed in contact with a portion of its periphery to support the disc with both surfaces exposed for processing; The disk can be easily positioned in each through hole without scratching its surface. On the inner wall of the through hole in the area that is not in contact with the recess,
Protrusions extending in the circumferential direction are provided along two mutually parallel inner grooves separated by an interval equal to the thickness of the edge (peripheral) of the disk to be transported. These protrusions are positioned on the above two lines so that the two protrusions do not face each other and form a groove between them.

According to the above configuration, instead of providing a groove in the ordinary sense of the word for supporting a disk on the inner wall of the through hole in the carrier plate I, the inner wall of a part of the through hole in the carrier plate is provided with a groove in the ordinary sense of the word. forming a plurality of protrusions extending circumferentially along either of two lines parallel to the planar surface of the carrier plate and separated from each other by a distance determined by the thickness of said disk; Since the disc is supported by the protrusions, dust or other particles accumulated on the inner wall of the through hole can fall through the gaps between the protrusions or be easily removed from the gaps between the protrusions. be able to. In addition, the above protrusions are provided alternately on the lines of the two trees so that they do not overlap when viewed along a line perpendicular to the planar surface of the carrier plate, making it easier to remove dust, etc. can be done.

When using this disc carrier, the disc is inserted into the through hole from the recess and supported from both sides by the projections. [Embodiment] A disk carrier (disc transport member) according to the invention comprises a carrier plate having one or more substantially circular through holes in which the disks substantially completely cover both surfaces for processing. It is designed to be transported in an exposed state. The number of through-holes to be provided depends on the number of disks desired to be processed simultaneously and is limited by the maximum allowable size of the carrier plate and the size of the disks to be transported.

The number of these through-holes to be provided and how these through-holes are arranged on the carrier plate depends on
Neither of these is intended to limit the scope of the present invention. Furthermore, since the present invention relates to the structure of these through holes and their adjacent parts, in the disk carrier described here as an embodiment of the present invention, only the peripheral portion of one through hole is illustrated. It is reiterated that this is merely for the purpose of simplifying the drawing. Therefore, the invention is not limited to disc carriers for transporting only one disc.

A portion of the carrier plate 10 including one of the through holes 13 is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The through hole 13 according to this embodiment of the invention is provided so as to pass through the carrier plate 10 and has a substantially circular peripheral edge, and the through hole 13 is close to a semicircle (more than a semicircle) with a radius R2. (slightly smaller) lower half. Radius R2 is the through hole 13
The upper half of the shape, which is slightly larger than a semicircle, has a radius R1 that is approximately equal to the radius of the disc used for the purpose, while the upper half of the shape is slightly larger than a semicircle and has a radius R1 that is slightly smaller than R2.

A recess 14 is formed at a certain depth from the front surface 11 in a part of the periphery of the through hole 13, and the recess 14 is in contact with the upper half of the through hole 13, which forms an arc slightly longer than a semicircle. That is, the length of the recess 14 in the circumferential direction is such that a disk having a radius R2 can be placed in the through hole 13 through the recess 14 without scratching the surface.

The lower, substantially semicircular inner wall surface (inner wall) of the through hole 13 is characterized by having a plurality of elongated protrusions 20 arranged in the circumferential direction along two lines parallel to each other. As shown in more detail in FIG. 3, these projections 20 forming two parallel ridges are spaced apart from each other in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the carrier plate 10; The mutually opposing surfaces of 20 are sloped towards the other of the two lines. Therefore, although these protrusions 20 seem to form a groove between them, when viewed in the circumferential direction, as shown in FIG.
A groove in the ordinary sense of the word is not formed on the inner wall surface of the through hole 13. This is because these protrusions 20 on the two lines are arranged alternately with respect to each other, as already explained and shown in FIG.

The spacing between these two lines and the angle of the slope of protrusion 20 are determined by the thickness and cross-sectional shape of the edge of the disk supported by the disk carrier. The angle of inclination is typically on the order of 30°. The protrusions 20 have a constant height, and their tops are located on a cylindrical surface with a radius R1 shown in FIG.

Therefore, the concave portion 14 and the protrusion 20 formed around the through hole 13 and on the inner wall surface prevent the disk of radius R2 from being scratched on its surface, and the lower edge of the disk can be moved to one side by some of the protrusions 20. Therefore, it can be placed in the through hole 13 while being supported from the other side by another protrusion 20 .

These protrusions 20 do not form depressions between them, defined as grooves in the ordinary sense of the word, so that dust or other particles can fall out during processing of the disc, and the through holes 13 Dust or other particles accumulated on the inner wall surface of the can be easily removed.

For example, the number of the 200 protrusions, the length, the circumferential spacing, and the cross-sectional shape may not be as shown. The protrusions 20 do not necessarily have to be arranged alternately on the front side and the rear side of the disk to be supported, as long as they play the role of positioning for setting the disk. This allows the inner wall of a portion of the through hole in the carrier plate to have a flat groove in the carrier plate, rather than providing a groove in the ordinary sense of the term for a disc-supporting recess in the inner wall of the through hole in the carrier plate. A disk carrier for supporting a disk in a precisely defined position with both surfaces thereof substantially completely exposed for processing, comprising: a carrier plate having a planar surface; at least one through hole formed to penetrate the carrier plate and having a peripheral edge and an inner wall along the peripheral edge; a recess that is in contact with a portion of the through hole, and is formed on an inner wall of another portion of the through hole, parallel to the planar surface, and
a plurality of protrusions extending circumferentially along either of two lines separated from each other by an interval determined by the thickness of the disc, the disc being supported by the protrusions between the two lines; and the protrusions along the two lines do not overlap when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the planar surface.
