However, in recent years, based on the fact that speaker boxes etc. have strong mechanical properties such as drop strength and compressive strength compared to relatively precision equipment and precision electrical products,
Reducing the volume of the outer packaging box (reducing transportation and storage costs)
Therefore, a method has come to be adopted in which packaging is performed simply by applying corner pads of polyethylene molded products to the corners of the packaged object, that is, by eliminating the foam resin cushioning material.

The box-shaped bottom plate 2a is provided with a lattice-shaped bottom rib 4 inside, and the two side plates 2b and 2c are provided with side ribs 5. It was hot. Then, as shown in FIG. 3, the packaged object 6 was placed in a packaging box (not shown) made of cardboard or the like with its corners pressed against it.

The strength b decreases as the strain increases. In other words, when a large external force such as a fall impact occurs,
The bottom rib 4 does not have adequate strength. In other words,
Conventional corner pads have different cushioning properties against a falling impact in the side direction and cushioning properties against a falling impact in the bottom direction, which has an adverse effect on the packaged object 6. Furthermore, in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks, a piece of cardboard or the like is sometimes placed between the packaged object 6 and the conventional corner pad 1 in order to improve the cushioning properties in the bottom direction.

Furthermore, due to the slippery nature of polyethylene molded products, the corner pads 1 may fall from the packaged object 6 during packaging operations, making the operation difficult. Furthermore, since it is weak against impact force, it has drawbacks such as cracking when dropped from a corner and poor restorability.

At the same time, a bottom rib is formed on the outer surface of the bottom plate, and the side plate is formed into a trapezoid shape with a tapered side on the free end side, and has a plurality of vertically protruding side ribs on the outer surface. This side rib is formed except for the top part formed by the bottom plate of the side plate, and this structure improves the cushioning properties of the bottom part and the side part against the falling impact of the packaged object, and also This also facilitates the installation work.

1. The corner pad 12 having the above structure is placed in the packaging box in a state where it is in contact with the corner of the object to be packaged 13. This corner pad 12 takes advantage of the properties of rubber, and by providing side ribs 11 and bottom ribs 10, side plates 8 and 9 are formed as shown in FIG.
The compression characteristic C of the bottom plate 7 and the compression characteristic d of the bottom plate 7 are almost the same, which means that the same cushioning properties can be obtained. Also, this corner patch 1
2 has rubber as its main component, so it has toughness and, together with the shock absorbing properties of the top part 15, it can protect the corners of the packaged object 13 well in the event of a corner fall.

であつてもよい。 Note that in this example, the bottom ribs were shaped like a lattice, but
Various shapes are possible depending on the weight of the packaged object. Furthermore, the side ribs do not necessarily have to be of the same height, and by arranging two or more types of ribs with different heights, it is also possible to perform stepwise buffering. Further, although this corner part is molded from rubber, it may also be made from a soft synthetic resin having elasticity.

By using an elastic material such as rubber, and providing a bottom rib and a side rib on the bottom plate and the side plate, respectively, and forming the side rib except for the area near the top formed by the bottom plate of the side plate, the top part can be strengthened. Moreover, the same degree of cushioning performance can be obtained against drops in each direction.
