Some conventional ballast cases include a mounting plate located outward in the longitudinal direction, but in this type of conventional ballast case, both widthwise ends of the bottom plate are fixed to the lower ends of both side plates of the case body by caulking.
A mounting plate is integrally provided on the bottom plate to protrude outward in the longitudinal direction,
The ballast case is attached and fixed to the member to be attached via this attachment plate portion with bolts and nuts.

However, there was a problem in that large noise and vibration were generated on the side of the attached member. Therefore, there are some devices in which anti-vibration rubber or the like is interposed between the mounting plate portion and the member to be mounted, but the noise reduction is insufficient.

Reference numeral 4 denotes a bottom plate facing the upper wall portion 2 of the main body 1. Reference numeral 5 denotes a pair of longitudinal mounting plate portions located on the outer side of the bottom plate 4 in the longitudinal direction, which are separated from the bottom plate 4, and each mounting plate portion 5 is provided with a mounting hole 6. The case body 1 is formed such that its side walls 3 extend over a bottom plate 4 and a mounting plate 5, and arc-shaped curved parts 7 and 8 are formed at both widthwise ends of the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate 5. The bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate part 5 are continuously caulked and fixed 9, 10 to the lower ends of both side wall parts 3 of the case body 1 via curved parts 7, 8. Therefore, between the case body 1 and the bottom plate 4,
A ballast main body comprising an iron core, a coil, etc. is housed in a state where it is clamped and fixed between the main body 1 and the bottom plate 4 via a spacer or the like, or in a state where it is embedded and fixed in a compound filled between the two. Further, the mounting plate portion 5 is attached to a member to be attached, such as a lamp case, by bolts, nuts, screws, etc. inserted into the attachment holes 6. In this case, a vibration-proof rubber may be interposed between the mounting plate portion 6 and the member to be mounted.

As shown in the figure, the bottom plate 4 is arranged so that a pair of slits 14 are provided between the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate 5, leaving a small connecting part 13 between them.
and the mounting plate portion 5 are cut and formed integrally, and the case body 1 is cut and formed at its expanded size. Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate part 5 are bent while being connected by the connecting part 13, and curved parts 7 and 8 are formed at both widthwise ends of the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate part 5. form. Further, the case body 1 is bent to form an upper wall portion 2 and a side wall portion 3 as shown in FIG. Then, the curved portions 7 and 8 at both widthwise ends of the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate portion 5 are continuously caulked and fixed 9 and 10 to the lower ends of both side wall portions 3 of the case body 1. Finally, as shown by the dotted line in FIG. 3, the connecting portion 13 between the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate portion 5 is cut by the cutting portion 15, thereby separating the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate portion 5 as shown in FIG. It is completely separated by a pair of slits 14 and a cutting portion 15.

Therefore, the vibration of the stabilizer body housed between the case body 1 and the bottom plate 4 is no longer directly transmitted from the bottom plate 4 to the mounting plate part 5, and the vibration from the case body 1 and the bottom plate 4 is transmitted to the mounting plate part. 5 can be prevented as much as possible, and generation of noise and vibration on the side of the attached member to which the mounting plate part 5 is attached can be effectively prevented. Further, the case body 1 is provided so as to straddle the both side walls 3, the bottom plate 4, and the mounting plate 5, and both ends of the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate 5 in the width direction are continuously caulked and fixed 8 to the lower end of the side wall 3. , 9. Therefore, for example, by cutting and bending the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate part 5 in a connected state, the bottom plate 4 and the mounting plate part 5 can be formed with a simple cutting die and bending die. It can be easily formed, the processing time is short, it is easy to manufacture, and it can be provided at low cost, and its practical effects are significant.
