Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent damage on a brush line which is a member to be welded by a method wherein a linear protrusion is provided on a member to be pressure-resistance-welded via upper and lower rotating electrodes while the upper rotating electrode is isolated from the member to be welded unless the need arises. CONSTITUTION:A brush line bundle 6 and a beam 7 of a belt-like base material 4 are pressed and resistance-welded via an upper rotating electrode 1 and a lower rotating electrode 2. The belt-like base material 4 is provided with window holes 3 and beam 7 at specific intervals while the brush line bundle 6 does not contact with the belt-like base material 4 at the parts of the window holes 3. Linear protrusions 9 are provided on both sides of the window hole parts 3 on the upper face 8 of the belt-like base material 4 wherein the height is larger than the line diameter of a brush line 5. Thus the upper rotating electrode 7 does not contact with the brush line bundle 6 unless welding is done at the beam 7. Therefore the brush line is not damaged by the upper rotating electrode 1 and subjected to damage due to pulse discharge since pulse signals are generated on the linear protrusions 9.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, in order to weld the brush wire of the brush contact used in trimmers, potentiometers, etc., a ladder-shaped window hole is inserted between the upper rotating electrode 1 and the lower rotating electrode 2 as shown in FIG. 3. The strips 6 of the brush wire 5 arranged horizontally in large numbers on the attached base material 4 are fed, and the wires 6 are applied to the strip base material 4 by applying pressure and electricity to both the upper and lower rotating electrodes 1.2. It is sequentially welded to each arm portion 7.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) By the way, in the brush wire welding method described above, even when the window hole 3 portion of the window hole 3 attached base material 4 passes between the upper and lower rotating electrodes 1.2, the sixth As shown in the figure, the upper rotating electrode 1 is in contact with the filament 6 of the brush wire 5 and constantly outputs a pulse signal as a seam welding machine, so that the filament 6 of the brush wire 5 is in contact with the filament 6 of the strip base material 4. At part 3, there were scratches due to the pressure applied by the upper rotating electrode l, and scratches due to the discharge of the pulse signal transmission. For this reason, the brush wire 5 sometimes causes contact failure as a brush contact, resulting in poor contact reliability.

Therefore, the present invention provides a brush wire welding method for a brush contact point in which the upper rotating electrode does not come into pressure contact with the brush wire except when the wire of the brush wire is welded to the edge of the band-like base material with window holes. This is what I am trying to do.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the brush wire welding method of the brush contact of the present invention is such that brush wires are welded on the left and right upper surfaces of each window hole portion of a ladder-like window hole-equipped strip base material. The strip-shaped base material is provided with a linear protrusion higher than its diameter and fed between the upper and lower rotating electrodes, and at the same time, a bundle of brush wires arranged horizontally in large numbers above the center of the strip-shaped base material is fed to the upper and lower sides. This method is characterized in that the wire bundle of the brush wire is sequentially welded to each leg portion of the band-like base material with a window hole by pressurizing and energizing both rotating electrodes.

(Function) As described above, in the brush wire welding method for brush contacts of the present invention,
Since we use a ladder-like band-like base material with window holes to which the brush wire is welded, we use a band-like base material with window holes that has linear protrusions higher than the diameter of the brush wire on the upper surfaces of both the left and right sides of each window hole. When a bundle of brush wires aligned horizontally between the rotating electrodes and the band-shaped base material with window holes is fed, the wire bundle of brush wire rods presses both the upper and lower rotating electrodes at each rim of the band-shaped base material with window holes. Except when welding is carried out by energization, the upper rotating electrode presses into contact with the filament protrusions higher than the diameter of the brush wire on the upper surface of both the left and right sides of each window hole portion of the window hole band-like base material, and applies pressure to the brush wire. Since there is no contact, the brush wire is not damaged by the upper rotating electrode. Further, since the upper rotating electrode generates a discharge for generating a pulse signal through the linear protrusion of the window-hole strip base material, the brush wire is not damaged by the discharge.

(Example) An example of the brush wire welding method for a brush contact of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 1, the width is 1311 and the thickness is 0.
A band-shaped base material 4 made of phosphor bronze having a window hole 3 of IM width 7 ms+ and length 10 mm has a height of 0.1 m higher than the diameter of the brush wire 5 described later on the left and right upper surface 8 of each window hole 3 part. A linear protrusion 9 is provided by pressing from the back side, and the strip-shaped base material 4 is fed between the upper and lower rotating electrodes 1.2 as shown in FIG. to 1

Fifty brush wires consisting of t%-Cu 15wt%-Zn 10wt% are fed into the upper and lower rotating electrodes 1.2.
The wire bundle 6 of the brush wire 5 was sequentially welded to each of the arm portions 7 of the support material 4 attached to the window hole 3 by applying pressure and energization.

The thus obtained brush contact strip material 10 was then cut at both left and right ends of each rod B7 as shown in FIG. It is cut at the position of the chain line I, and then the wire bundle 6 of the brush wire material 5 is cut as shown in FIG.
The tip of the brush was molded to form a 0.5H semicircular contact ill on the lower side to obtain a brush contact 12.

On the other hand, to explain the conventional example, as shown in FIG. A wire bundle 6 of brush wires 5 having the same dimensions and the same material as in the embodiment in which 14 brush wires are arranged horizontally on the strip-like base material 4 with the hole 3 is fed, and both the upper and lower rotating electrodes 1 and 2 are pressurized and energized. According to the line bundle 6

The thus obtained brush contact strip material 10 was then subjected to the steps shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 in the same manner as in the previous example to obtain a brush contact 12.

However, when quality was inspected for 1,000 brush contacts 12 of the embodiment and the conventional example, 34 of the 1,000 brush contacts 12 of the conventional example had scratches or discoloration on the brush wire 5. There were no scratches or discoloration on the brush contacts 12 of the examples. This is simply because in the embodiment, a ladder-shaped window hole 3 attached strip base material 4 having linear protrusions 9 on the left and right upper surfaces 8 of the window hole 3 portion is used. There is no other way than that.

(Effects of the Invention) As can be seen from the above explanation, according to the brush wire welding method for a brush contact of the present invention, except when the wire bundle of the brush wire is welded to each step of the ladder-like window-hole band-like base material. Since the upper rotating electrode does not come into pressure contact with the brush wire, the brush wire is not scratched by the upper rotating electrode or by the discharge of pulse signal transmission. Therefore, the brush wire does not cause contact failure as a brush contact, and has high contact reliability.
