In addition, it is possible to easily give the distal end 3 a shape that allows easy insertion into the target site, and the distal end 3 during insertion is easily deformed along the changing insertion route of the blood vessel, etc., thereby preventing damage to the inner wall of the blood vessel, etc. The tip portion 3 is required to have flexibility so as not to cause any damage.

The catheter 4 forms a main body 8 with high torsional rigidity by interposing a wire layer 7 between a flexible inner tube 5 and a flexible outer tube 6. . Furthermore, this catheter 4
A relatively flexible tip portion 9 is connected to the end portion of the main body portion 8 from which a portion of the outer tube portion 6 is removed.

There is a step at the connection between the main body part 8 and the distal end part 9, making it difficult to smoothly insert it into a blood vessel, etc.
There is a risk of blood clots. Further, due to a poor connection between the main body portion 8 and the tip portion 9, there is a possibility that the two may come apart.

Therefore, the thickness of the reinforcing layer becomes large, and the inner diameter of the catheter becomes small under a predetermined outer diameter of the catheter determined by the inner diameter of the insertion path of the blood vessel or the like into which the catheter is inserted. Furthermore, since the thickness of the reinforcing layer is large, a relatively large step is created between the outer diameter of the catheter in the main body and the outer diameter of the catheter in the distal end, making it difficult to insert the catheter into a blood vessel or the like. Become. In addition, the catheter 10

Since the wire layer 12 and the second wire layer 13 are formed by folding back, the entire structure cannot be formed continuously to obtain a catheter base material.

It is integrally formed in the direction. That is, in the case of the catheter 20, a single-layer reinforcing layer 25 is interposed between the flexible inner tube section 23 and the flexible outer tube section 24 of the main body section 21, and the distal end section 22 is formed by the integral state of the inner tube part 23 and the outer tube part 24. The reinforcement layer 25
is made of a wire layer woven at a predetermined pitch, and the end of the reinforcing layer 25 on the distal end 22 side is bonded to the inner tube 23. Here, the inner tube part 23 and the outer tube part 2
4 is made of flexible plastic such as polyurethane elastomer, polyamide elastomer, polyester elastomer, polyethylene, etc., and the reinforcing layer 25 is made of stainless steel wire.
Note that in addition to the tip opening, the tip portion 22 has:

Since it does not have a reinforcing layer, it is possible to have high torsional rigidity and flexibility at the tip. In addition, the reinforcing layer 25
Since it is formed from one layer, its thickness is small, and under a predetermined outer diameter of the catheter determined by the inner diameter of the insertion path of the blood vessel or the like into which the catheter is inserted,
It is possible to increase the inner diameter of the catheter, and there is almost no difference in level between the outer diameter of the catheter in the main body part 21 and the outer diameter of the catheter in the distal end part 22, allowing smooth insertion into a blood vessel or the like. becomes possible.

Since the reinforcing layer 35 is formed by the loosely woven wire layer 35B on the distal end 32 side of the main body 31, the change in torsional rigidity between the main body 31 and the distal end 32 is gradual. In addition to increasing the responsiveness of the distal end portion 32 to the rotation of the distal end portion 31, it is possible to prevent the distal end portion 32 from bending sharply with respect to the main body portion 31, and to prevent the occurrence of occlusion of the internal space of the catheter due to the bending.

Here, the reinforcing layer 45 is a knitted wire layer 45A.
and non-woven wire layers 45B are alternately formed. Next, a certain section of the wire layer 45 to be removed is
After bonding the end portion of the wire layer 45B to the inner tube portion 43 with an adhesive, a portion of the wire layer 45B approximately in the center is removed as shown in FIG. 9B. Next, the outer tube part 44 is extruded onto the upper surface of the inner tube part 43 and the wire layers 45A, 45B. Next, the wire layer 45A is cut at approximately the middle part X1 of the part where the reinforcing layer 45 is not present, and the part where the reinforcing layer 45 is not present is cut at the approximate middle part X2 , and the part where the wire layers 45A and 45B are located becomes the main body part 41, and the reinforcing layer 45 Attach the part without the tip 4
A catheter 40 of No. 2 is obtained. That is, according to the above manufacturing method, the catheter 40 can be formed continuously.

The catheter has a distal end portion and a main body portion, a reinforcing layer consisting of one layer is interposed between an inner tube portion and an outer tube portion of the main body portion, and the distal end portion has the reinforcing layer. Since the main body and the tip are integrally formed, the torsional rigidity is high and the tip is flexible, and the outer diameters of the main body and the tip are approximately uniform and relatively large. It becomes possible to form the inner diameter.

る。 The present invention also provides a method for manufacturing a catheter in which a main body portion and a distal end portion are integrally formed in the axial direction, in which a flexible inner tube portion is extruded and a flexible inner tube portion is formed on the upper surface of the inner tube portion in the axial direction. A reinforcing layer consisting of a single layer is formed at a predetermined interval between the inner tube and the reinforcing layer, and a flexible outer tube is extruded on the upper surface of the inner tube and the reinforcing layer. Since the cut is made approximately in the middle of the part without the reinforcing layer, the main body and the tip are integrally formed, the torsional rigidity is high, the tip is flexible, and the outer diameter of the main body and the tip are It becomes possible to continuously form a catheter in which the diameter is substantially uniform and a relatively large inner diameter can be formed.
