    るボールエンドミル等の工具を保持可能な工具保
    持手段と、 ベース上に前記工具の軸線に直交しかつ同工具
    の前記球状刃先の中心を通る直線を中心として回
    転可能にかつ所定角度毎に位置決め可能に設けら
    れた回動部材と、 回動部材上に設けられかつ投光部から受光部に
    向けて発せられる走査線により前記工具の球状刃
    先を走査して影を生じている時間または光が透過
    する時間の長さを演算することにより、その刃先
    寸法を測定可能な光走査式寸法測定器と、 を備えたことを特徴とする工具刃先のアール精
    度測定装置。
