As shown in Fig. 1, the tips of two independent thin insulated lead wires 4 and 5 were applied to the electrodes 2 and 3 provided on the front and back sides of the electric element body 1, and the connections were made by soldering by hand soldering or dating. Later, the element part was covered and protected with an insulating material 6, and since two independent thin lead wires were used, the soldering process was difficult to handle and had to be done manually, making it difficult to work and mass-produce. It was low. Furthermore, since the independent lead wires are easily deformed, it is difficult to achieve dimensional accuracy, and it is particularly difficult to align the pitches at the free ends of the lead wires. In addition, the lead wires were prone to deformation during packaging and transportation.

Figure 2 shows a part of the lead material, which is made by etching a copper foil with a thickness of 0.05 to 0.2 mm attached to a base sheet 7 made of synthetic resin such as polyimide or glass epoxy. A large number of pairs of opposing lead terminals 4 and 5 are formed in parallel at predetermined pitches, and a base sheet 7 is punched out along the outer shape of each pair of lead terminals. The base sheet 7 of each pair of lead terminals is connected via a bridge 10 to a wide band-shaped guide portion 9 having guide holes 8 of a constant pitch P, and the lead terminals of adjacent pairs are connected by a short bar 11. , each lead terminal 4,5
The position and posture of is maintained via the base sheet 7. Further, between the tips of each lead terminal 4, 5, the base sheet 7 is removed to form a notch 12 of an appropriate depth.

First, as shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B, the electric element main body 1 is inserted into the notch 12 between the tips of the lead terminals 4 and 5 in an upright position. At this time, the base sheet portions 7a and 7b on both sides of the notch 12 are pressed and deformed slightly outward, and the element body 1 is reliably held by their elastic restoring force.

Assembling the electric elements is completed as described above,
To make a single element, the short bar 11 is cut at points B and C shown in FIG. 2, and also along line D to separate it from the guide portion 9. However, this single-item processing may be performed before packaging individual elements or assembling them into electrical equipment, and sales as packaging materials or assembly materials may be performed in a series state before cutting. .

As explained above, since the lead terminals 4 and 5 of the electric element having long leads according to the present invention are attached and held on the base sheet 7 over their entire length, the mutual spacing and posture can be reliably maintained. , the element body 1 will not be deformed during assembly or transportation. Further, the electric element main body 1 has lead terminals 4,
This notch 12 is inserted into the notch 12 formed in the base sheet 7 between the 5 tips.
The elastic force of the base sheet portions located on both sides of the lead terminals ensure that the element body 1 is held firmly in place, making it easy to insert the element body 1 between the tips of the lead terminals, and also securely hold the element body 1 during the subsequent soldering process. There was no positional fraying or deformation of the lead terminals 4 and 5, making it possible to connect with high precision.

In particular, as shown in the embodiment, lead terminals 4 and 5
When the base sheet 7 supporting the is connected to the strip guide 9 and multiple sets of lead terminals 4 and 5 are arranged in series, continuous processing becomes possible and work efficiency is improved. Lead terminals 4 and 5 can be processed in series before being made into individual products.
This ensures that the dimensions are maintained and can be used more effectively in practice.
