Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve its appearance, by providing a notch in a recessed portion formed into a floor carpet, and inserting a standing member to be installed on the floor portion of a vehicle into this notch so that a pair of edges of the notch abuts respective side faces of the above member. CONSTITUTION:In a subject which comprises a bracket 6 fixed on the predetermined part of a floor portion 2 and having a parking brake lever 7 rotatably mounted thereto, and also being inserted into a notch 8 formed into a floor carpet 5, a recessed portion 9 which bends toward a base cloth portion 3a and whose section is in the form of a V is initially bendably formed into the flat portion 5a of the floor carpet 5, which portion is adapted to have a bracket 6 inserted therein. And the bottom portion of this recessed portion 9 is cut along a vertical cutting face C to form the notch 8. A pair of piece portions 9a of the recessed portion 9 which piece portions are inclined diagonally downwards are thereby pressed in and engaged with the bracket 6, so that the peripheral edge 8a and the reverse face 5b of the carpet 5 are prevented from being exposed to the outside.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION a. Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a car body floor structure, and more specifically, to a floor carpet laid on the floor of a car body, where a parking brake lever mounting bracket or the like is installed upright. This invention relates to an improvement in a structure in which a member is inserted through the structure.

c5 Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in the conventional structure as described above, due to the characteristics of the floor carpeter).11, as shown in FIG.
Curls (curves) 15 often occur at the peripheral edge portions of 2. When such a curl 15 occurs, the edge 11b and back surface 11c of the floor carpet 11, as well as the floor portion 10, become visible, resulting in a disadvantage that the appearance is greatly impaired. Therefore, in order to eliminate this inconvenience, it is possible to perform edging work to attach a concealing member to cover the curl 15 portion, but in this case, the number of parts and work hours will increase, It is also disadvantageous in terms of cost.

FIG. 1 shows a front floor 1 of an automobile, and a floor carpet 5 consisting of a base fabric portion 3 and a raised portion 4 is laid on a floor portion 2 of the vehicle body. A bracket 6 is fixed to a predetermined location on the floor portion 2,
A parking brake lever 7 is rotatably attached to this bracket 6. That is, the above-mentioned bracket 6 is inserted into a notch 8 formed in the floor carpet 5, and a parking brake lever 7 is disposed above the floor carpet 5.

The floor carpet 5 used in this embodiment has a V-shaped cross section bent toward the base fabric portion 3 side (floor portion 2 side) as shown in FIG. A shaped recessed portion 9 is bent in advance, and the bottom (lowermost end) of the recessed portion 9 is cut along a vertical cut surface C, thereby forming a notch 8. When the floor carpet 5 is laid on the floor part 2, the bracket 6 is inserted into the notch 8 with the raised part 4 facing upward. Accordingly, as shown in FIG. 2, with the pair of edges 8a formed by the cut 8 facing diagonally downward, the pair of pieces 9a constituting the concave portion 9 move toward the floor portion 2. (that is, in the opposite direction to the direction of the curl 15), and its elastic force causes its tips to be lightly pressed into engagement with both side surfaces of the bracket 6, respectively.

According to the vehicle body floor structure configured in this manner, the pair of pieces 9a of the concave portion 9 that slopes diagonally downward are pressed into engagement with the bracket 6, so that curls 15 as in the conventional case occur. There is no risk of it happening. Therefore, there is no risk that the edge 8a and back surface 5b of the floor carpet will be exposed to the outside, and the floor portion 2 will not be visible from inside the vehicle through the notch 8 portion. Therefore, it becomes possible to omit decoration processes such as edging, which is advantageous in terms of cost.

Furthermore, even if there is some error in the thickness dimension of the bracket 6 or its mounting position, the flexibility of the pair of pieces 9a (
elasticity) can fully absorb the error. Furthermore, since the recessed portion 9 is provided in advance on the floor carpet 5, when forming the notch 8 in the subsequent process, the location of the notch (i.e., the bottom of the recessed portion 9) can be easily identified, which improves work efficiency. It can be improved.

For example, the shape of the concave portion 9 provided in the floor carpet 5 is not limited to a V-shaped cross section, but may also be a U-shaped cross section, and the present invention is also applicable to members other than the parking brake lever 7. Needless to say, I got it.

e. Effects of the Invention As described above, the present invention provides a method in which a notch is provided in a concave portion formed in a floor carpet, a member installed upright on the floor of a vehicle is inserted into this notch, and a pair of notch edges are aligned with the above-mentioned. Since the cut edges are brought into contact with both sides of the member, the pair of cut edges are brought into elastic contact with the member in a downwardly slanted state, thereby preventing the occurrence of curling. Furthermore, the edges and back surface of the floor carpet, as well as the floor part, can be prevented from being exposed to the outside, and the appearance can be improved. Moreover, since the occurrence of curling is prevented, it is not necessary to perform edging to hide the curled portion, which has been conventionally used, and it is possible to improve the work function and reduce costs. Furthermore, when machining the incision, the bottom of the recessed portion 9 previously formed in the floor carpet 5 may be used as the formation location, so the machining position can be easily recognized visually, making the work simple.
