Prior Art Conventionally, there have been air mats in which front and back sheets are glued together in spots to provide recessed portions. This air mat has a through hole in the bonded portion to reduce the peeling load applied to the bonded portion by applying internal pressure to the mat.

Purpose of the invention The purpose of this invention is to provide an air mat that can reliably prevent peeling by reducing the peeling load as described above, and can also exhibit a decorative effect.

and the back sheet 2 are airtightly adhered at their outer peripheries so that air can be injected into the interior. Both sheets 1 and 2 are spot-bonded at appropriate positions by welding, and the bonded portions 3 are arranged in a regular manner. A through hole 4, which is slightly smaller than the adhesive part 3, is formed in the adhesive part 3.

A pair of female and male caulking rivets 5 and 6 have flanges 8 and 9 having a larger diameter than the adhesive portion 3 at their heads, and are caulked to each other through the through hole 4. In this case, adhesive may be used at the joint between both rivets 5 and 6.

Effects of the invention As exemplified in the examples above, this invention not only adheres the front and back sheets in spots at appropriate areas, but also forms a through hole in the adhesive part, and a flange having a diameter larger than the adhesive part. By caulking a pair of caulking rivets with a section to each other through the through hole, the peeling load of the adhesive part for forming the recessed part is made even smaller than that of only the through hole, and the peeling of that part is ensured. This has the effect of not only preventing damage but also providing excellent decoration.
