とした状態で凹溝内に鋸の背部を挿入しておいて
背金をその表裏方向から叩打や押圧することで溝
巾を狭ばめて鋸身の背部を挾持しているものであ
るが、鋸身や背金に用いる鋼板は、鋼板自体の寸
法精度がよくないことと、これらの加工精度が低
いことから生じる寸法誤差が加算され総合された
誤差は相当大となり機械によつて鋸身を背金に挾
持させることは上記した理由により不良品を多く
作ることになるので、もつぱら条件の異つたもの
を熟練した職人の手で一丁毎調子を検討しつつ組
立てるため誰にでもなし得ず、従つて多量生産が
でき難いという難点を有している。

3と係合する際に背金3の凹溝31の溝巾bに対
応できる厚さとなるよう極薄の板状物を剥離して
用いると背金3と鋸身1との係合が適切になし
得、鋸身1を交換する際に、従来の鋸のように背
金の溝巾を変更させることなく背部の厚さcを調
節することで適切な係合をはかり背金3の歪発生
の一原因である背金3をさわることによる歪が発
生する不都合が解消されるので、背金3の凹溝3
の溝巾bが使用中に変り不揃となり易い替刃方
式の背金付鋸に用いる替刃用の鋸身に最適であ
る。なお緩衝体4は、同一材で形成してもよい
が、背金3の凹溝31内への挿入の円滑をはかる
ため表面を滑り易いもの例えば金層箔や紙で内部
を軟かいクツシヨン材例えぱプラスチツクフイル
ムで形成した異質の材料で形成した複合材を用い
