At this time, a bounce phenomenon occurs due to the reaction of the descending speed,
The absorber 65 absorbs the reaction and suppresses the occurrence of bounce. On the other hand, when the cylinder 63 is actuated to the extension side, the force is applied to the link 61, the connecting arm 59,
It is transmitted to the polishing device 53 via the connecting shaft 60, and the polishing wheel 56 is forcibly lifted. At this time, the presence of the balance weight 58 allows the polishing brush 56 to rise smoothly.

にもなつていた。(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the case of the conventional water polishing device described above, since the suspension system of the polishing device 53 does not have a special elevating function, the roof, hood, and trunk of the automobile body have large height differences. Since it is impossible to water-sand the two parts continuously, generally only the roof is polished using the water-sanding device, and the hood and trunk are polished separately by hand. When done manually, not only is the work efficiency lower, but it is also impossible to wet-grind uniformly in one direction over the entire surface, which tends to result in sharpening streaks, and problems such as spots remaining due to unsharpened parts occur. . Furthermore, when performing a water test on the center of the hood, for example, the user is forced to lean forward, which can cause back pain.

It happens.

In the device for automatic water grinding by continuously pressing against the hood surface, roof surface and trunk surface of the vehicle, the mount 51
A first parallelogram link is provided in which the lifting arm 3, which is swingably mounted in the vertical direction about the support shaft 1, is the base and the support shaft side is the fixed sides 5, 7. A second parallelogram link whose common side is the link 9 facing the lifting arm is provided above the quadrilateral link, and the polishing device 53 having the polishing wheel is attached to the first parallelogram link in the vertical direction. a direction in which the polishing device is swingably suspended from the shaft, and the polishing device is connected to the second parallelogram link via the shaft 14, and the load of the polishing device is offset against the second parallelogram link; A balance weight 15 is provided on the pedestal, and is connected to and disengaged from the second parallelogram link and the cylinder 10 that raises and lowers the polishing device by swinging the lifting arm of the first parallelogram link. a cylinder 17 for selectively positioning the polishing wheel in a non-polishing position away from the body and a polishing position in contact with the body; at least one auxiliary balance weight 2 that adds its own weight to the weight and separates from the balance weight when the lifting arm swings downward;
The gist is that the configuration is such that 0 is added.

1 is provided protrudingly, and on the other hand, a bell crank 12 is pivotally attached to the support arm 57, and a second connecting bar 13 is bridged between them. These first pressing arm 11, bell crank 12, and second connecting bar 13 form a second parallelogram link with the first connecting bar 9 as a common link. The other end of a shaft 14 that connects one end to a polishing device 53 is connected to the bell crank 12, while a balance weight 15 is connected to one end of the third support shaft 8.
A first weight arm 16 is fixed. The weight of the balance weight 15 is smaller than the weight of the polishing device 53, and as a result, a descending force that is simply the weight of the polishing device 53 minus the weight of the balance weight 15 is generated on the polishing wheel 56. Accordingly, the bell crank 12 normally rotates counterclockwise (Figs. 3 and 4), and the second

Thus, a lift arm 21 fixed to one end of the first support shaft 1 can engage with the second weight arm 19 via a cam follower 22.
As a result, when the lift arm 3 swings downward due to the operation of the lift cylinder 10, the first support shaft 1 and therefore the lift arm 21 rotate counterclockwise (Figs. 3 and 4). Following this, the second weight arm 19 rotates counterclockwise and the auxiliary balance weight 20 is lifted.
Conversely, the lifting arm 3 is moved by the operation of the lifting cylinder 10.
When the cam follower 22 swings upward, the lift arm 21 rotates clockwise (Figs. 3 and 4), and the engagement between the cam follower 22 and the lift arm 21 is finally released.
An auxiliary balance weight 20 is added to the balance weight 15. That is, the downward force generated on the polishing wheel 56 is reduced by the amount added by the auxiliary balance weight 20.

When the car body 55 loaded on the trolley 54 and subjected to intermediate coating is carried into the water polishing process where the water polishing device is installed, the lifting cylinder 10 is moved to the retracted side in order to water polish the hood surface. The third
As shown in the figure, the elevating arm 3 swings downward about the first support shaft 1, and following this, the polishing device 53 descends while maintaining a constant posture. Subsequently, the pressing cylinder 17 is actuated to the contraction side, the second pressing arm 15 rotates counterclockwise, and following this, the second connecting bar 13 moves to the left in the figure, and its movement is It is transmitted to the polishing device 53 via the bell crank 12 and the shaft 14, and the polishing device 53
The casing 66' is swung as shown by the broken line in FIG. 1, and the polishing wheel 56 is pressed against the hood surface. At this time, the lift arm 21 rotates due to the lowering of the lifting arm 3, and the auxiliary balance weight 20 is lifted as shown in FIG. 3. Therefore, the pressing force Fd of the polishing wheel 56 in the above state is: The dead weight of the polishing device 53 is W,
If the weight of balance weight 15 is A, then the formula
Fd=W-A (however, for the sake of simplicity, the weights of the bell crank 12, shaft 14, weight arm 16, etc. are omitted).

Polishing of the automobile body 55 moving on the conveyance line is started from the tip of the hood. The middle portion of the casing 66' of the polishing device 53 is bent at an angle of about 45 degrees, so that the entire hood surface can be polished without interfering with the roof. Then, a lift command is input near the rear end of the hood, the pressing cylinder 17 operates to the extension side, and at the same time, the elevating cylinder 10 also operates to the extension side, and the polishing wheel 56 moves toward the roof surface. At this time, due to the lift arm 3 rising, the lift arm 21
rotates in the opposite direction, and the auxiliary balance weight 20 is added to the balance weight 15. That is, the pressing force Fv of the polishing wheel 56 against the roof surface is expressed by the formula, where B is the weight of the auxiliary balance weight 20.
It is given by Fv=W-(A+B), which is a smaller value than when polishing the hood surface.

The polishing device can be moved freely to the trunk surface for automatic water sanding, significantly improving water sanding efficiency. Moreover, since it is possible to reduce the pressing force by adding an auxiliary balance weight to the roof surface, which is weak in strength, the water grinding quality can also be improved.
