積方法に開示されている従来装置には、加圧され
ている接着剤を直接ノズルからベニヤ単板の後端
面に吹き付ける端面糊付け装置がある。

り、そのために高速搬送によつて生産性を高めよ
うとする際のように所要の板間隔が充分に形成さ
れない時は糊付けブロツクの上下動制御による端
面糊付け作業を不可能にするばかりでなく、該糊
付けブロツクの搬送線上への突出作用によつて搬
送過程のベニヤ単板を破損してしまう重大な難点
があつたものであり、また後者の場合には加圧さ
れている接着剤を直接ノズルからベニヤ単板の後
端部に微少時間吹き付ける、極めて一般的な一次
型スプレー手段によるものであるから、微少量づ
つの点滴塗布作業を不可能にし、多量に吹き付け
られる接着剤によつて塗布してはならない個所ま
で汚染してブロツキングの原因となり、徒らに接
着剤を浪費する重大な難点があつたものであるか
ら、本発明はこれ等の難点を払拭すべく、この種
端面糊付け装置に用いる糊付けブロツク等の器物
をベニヤ単板の搬送線上に突出させることなく、
また加圧されている接着剤を直接ノズルから噴射
させることなく、ベニヤ単板の前端面に向けた加
圧空気の瞬時噴射によつて一旦射出ノズル上に点
滴状に適量射出してある接着剤をベニヤ単板の前
端面まで飛翔させて再度点滴状にこれを塗布する
点滴状の接着剤の射出動作と点滴状の接着剤の噴
射動作とを重畳した二次型スプレー手段に構成し
た端面糊付け装置の提供を目的としたものであ
る。

本発明の端面糊付け装置は、熔融タンク中でヒ

によつて、前記接着剤射出部に点滴状に射出され
ている接着剤は、瞬時に側方に飛翔して搬送過程
のベニヤ単板の前端面に再度点滴状にその接着剤
が塗布されて一回の端面糊付け作業を終了する。

本発明の実施の一例を熔融ホツトメルト樹脂を
接着剤に使用する場合を図示して説明すれば、第
1図および第2図はベニヤ単板4を繊維方向また
は繊維方向の直交方向に搬送し乍らその後続ベニ
ヤ単板4aの前端面に接着剤2を点滴状に塗布し
て先行ベニヤ単板4bの後端面にこれを衝突させ
て連続状に接合する単板接合機の改良された端面
糊付け装置を例示したものであつて、先ずホツト
メルト樹脂からなる接着剤は熔融タンク8中で加
熱ヒーター9により熔融され、該熔融タンク8の
底部に装着したエアーシリンダー10等によつて
駆動されるポンプ11により加熱および保温され
たヒートチユーブ12を経て射出ノズル3に熔融
状態のホツトメルト樹脂が圧送される。該射出ノ
ズル3には加熱ヒーター13が内装されていて圧
送されて来る熔融ホツトメルト樹脂の熔融状態を
維持し乍らこれを開閉バルブ1を経て接着剤射出
部3aに適量づつ点滴状に射出する。該開閉バル
ブ1にはエアーシリンダー、ソレノイド等の作動
機構14が装着されていてベニヤ単板4の搬送線
上に臨ませた光電スイツチ等からなる単板検知器
7の前段の単板検知器7aによりベニヤ単板4の
前端面を都度検知した制御信号によつて適量の熔
融ホツトメルト樹脂をその接着剤射出部3a上に
点滴状に射出させて次の接着剤2の塗布作業に待
機させるものである。また前記射出ノズル3の接
着剤射出部3aの側方にはソレノイド、ダイヤフ
ラム等の作動機構を内装した開閉バルブ5を径路
中に備えた加圧空気の噴射ノズル6が搬送線上の
ベニヤ単板4の前端面に向けて、即ち前記射出ノ
ズル3の接着剤射出方向に直交して付設されてい
て、エアーコンプレツサー15等の加圧空気源か
ら供給される加圧空気をそのまま、若しくは必要
に応じて加熱ヒーター16により予熱した加圧空
気を前記射出ノズル3の接着剤射出部3a上に一
旦点滴状に射出した熔融ホツトメルト樹脂に対し
側方からこれを噴射して、この噴射によつて飛翔
する熔融ホツトメルト樹脂等の接着剤2をベニヤ
単板4の前端面で捕捉して一回の端面糊付け作業
を終了するものである。この場合前記噴射ノズル
6用の開閉バルブ5はベニヤ単板4の搬送線上に
臨ませた前記単板検知器7の後段の単板検知器7
bにより適当場所に到来したベニヤ単板4の前端
面を都度検知した制御信号によつて適量の加圧空
気が一瞬だけ噴射されるものであり、場合によつ
ては前記後段の単板検知器7bによる制御に代え
て前記前段の単板検知器7aの制御信号をタイマ
ー、シフトレジスター、磁気メモリー等により適
宜遅延して適当場所にベニヤ単板4の前端面が到
来するのを待つて開閉バルブ5を制御することも
出来るものである。

の前端面にこれを静電的に集束させることにより

から、従来装置のようにベニヤ単板の搬送線上に
糊付けブロツク等の器物が突出して搬送動作を阻
害することもなく、また直接ノズルからベニヤ単
板の後端部に加圧接着剤を微少時間吹き付ける時
のような微少量づつの点滴塗布作業を不可能にす
ることもなく、ベニヤ単板の前端面に向けた加圧
空気の瞬時噴射によつて一旦射出ノズル上に点滴
状に適量射出してある接着剤をベニヤ単板の前端
面まで飛翔させて微少量づつ塗布することが始め
て出来たものであるから、先行ベニヤ単板と後続
ベニヤ単板の板間隔を加圧空気の噴射速度の極限
まで狭めることが出来、従つて板間隔が狭くなる
高速搬送によつてその生産性を高めようとする際
にも安定した端面糊付け作業が出来るようになつ
たものであるばかりでなく、接着剤の点滴塗布量
の調節も、事前に射出ノズル上に適量の接着剤を
点滴状に射出してあるので、その点滴塗布量に過
不足を生ずることもなく、単板接合機全体の工程
能率を飛躍的に向上し、製品強度を極めて安定な
ものにし、接着剤の消費も大幅に節減する成果を
収め、且つまた接着剤の塗布作業における搬送ベ
ニヤ単板の器物による破損等も皆無になし得た実
施効果の極めて顕著なものである。
