The process of attaching tape to multiple veneers in a direction almost perpendicular to the fibers to join the veneers (and partially reinforcing them) is carried out. While the obtained veneer has achieved the original purpose of reinforcement and bonding well, the tape used has a strength that meets the above-mentioned main purpose, and due to the difference in material, its elasticity is poor. Because it is significantly different from the veneer itself,
This method has the disadvantage that the following inconveniences occur in the subsequent steps.

However, tape does not have the same or higher extensibility, and therefore, for example, the tape is broken along each small crack or cracks.
As a result, it has been difficult to achieve the necessary and sufficient reinforcing and bonding effects. On the other hand, if the tape does not break, there will be a difference in elongation between the tape-applied portion and the non-applied portion, resulting in the problem of cracks occurring in the veneer.

The outline is that when the adhesive surface is in an adhesive state, a highly stretchable tape with special cuts that will not significantly impair its original reinforcing and bonding effects even if the tape breaks is applied. The object of the present invention is to provide a veneer consisting of a veneer and a method for manufacturing the same, thereby suppressing the occurrence of inconveniences in the subsequent process.

It is characterized by being adhesively attached in a direction almost perpendicular to the fibers of the board.

The tape 2, which has been made sticky by applying water using a suitable water application device (not shown), is applied to the adhesive surface of the adhesive paper tape or the like, and the pressure roll 5 is applied in a direction substantially perpendicular to the fibers of the veneer 1. After adhering the tape in a continuous manner through the veneer, a cut roll 6 having a cutting edge 7 is used to make cuts 3 across the fibers of the veneer 1 in the tape 2 so that some cut residue 3a remains on one side. Obtained by a manufacturing method (second invention of the present invention) in which a large number of them are formed. In addition, if the veneer 1 is a raw veneer, the appropriate water application device described above is not required.
When the tape 2 is attached to the green veneer by the pressure roll 5, the adhesive surface of the tape 2 can be made sticky due to the moisture of the green veneer.

Since the break position of the tape 2 is regulated by the notch 3 and the adhesive surface is adhesive, even if the tape 2 breaks, the original reinforcing effect will not be significantly impaired, and the next There is no risk of any inconvenience occurring during the process.

During the elongation, the uncut portion 3a of the tape 2 is broken as the veneer 1 is elongated, and is divided into a plurality of tape pieces 2a, as shown in FIG.
However, since the adhesive surface of each tape piece 2a is adhesive and the cut is made so as to cross the fibers of the veneer, it can be displaced in the direction of elongation due to the tendering process with respect to the veneer, resulting in the small cracks. It will not break due to copying.

Since a is pasted across the small crack, its adhesion is maintained across the small crack to each of the fibers before and after perpendicular to the small crack. While allowing the plate 1 to elongate, the reinforcing effect of the tape 2 is prevented from being impaired. Furthermore, the veneer does not crack due to the difference in elongation between the part to which the tape 2 is attached and the part to which the tape 2 is not attached.

著しく損われる虞はない。 On the other hand, even if the veneer 1 shown in FIG. 2 shrinks by subjecting it to a drying process, for example, the tapes 2 having the notches 3 will overlap each other at the notches 3. They tend to be more flexible and allow for more shrinkage than traditional uniform tapes. As a result, fraying of the veneer due to the difference in shrinkage between the tape-applied portion and the non-applied portion is suppressed. At that time, as shown in FIG. 6, even if some of the uncut portions 3a cannot resist the shrinkage force and break, the shape of the divided tape pieces 2a will not be the same as that of the veneer.
Since the shape crosses the fibers, there is no risk that the original reinforcing effect will be significantly impaired.

This is not limited to the example shown in Figure 2, and for example, the direction may be changed as appropriate to the direction B, C, or D shown in the example shown in Figure 3 or 4 instead of the direction A in the example shown in Figure 2. For example, as shown on the left side of FIG. 3, there is no problem with providing uncut portions 3a on both sides of the tape 2, or as necessary, as shown on the right side of FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, for example. There is no problem even if the tape 2 is formed without any uncut portions so that the tape 2 can be expanded and contracted even more easily.

A manufacturing process in which a large number of cuts 3 are formed across the fibers of the veneer 1, and then the tape 2 is attached so that the adhesive surface of the tape 2, which has the cuts 3 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the fibers of the veneer 1 that is conveyed in the direction of the arrow in the figure, becomes sticky. It can also be obtained by the method (third invention of the present invention).

Further, the direction of the cuts may be varied within the range of crossing the fibers of the veneer, but it is necessary to provide at least some uncut portions so as not to make it impossible to lead out and attach the tape.

Bonding is performed using a tape 2 that can be manufactured by using a known bonding device having a blade 11, a delivery conveyor 12, a shaft 13, etc., and, if necessary, also using other bonding members made of adhesive or the like for the bonded portion 9. The resulting veneer 1 and its manufacturing method are also effective in the same way as described above.
