DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Technical Field) The present invention relates to a method for producing a wear-resistant material, which has excellent properties and can be suitably used in wear-resistant members such as vane materials for compressors. This invention relates to a method for manufacturing materials inexpensively and continuously. (Prior art and its problems) A390 alloy (Al-18%Si-4.5% Cu−
Al-Si based casting alloys such as 0.55% Mg) have been widely used. However, such casting alloys have problems in that casting defects such as cavities or inclusions are likely to occur and yields are poor. In addition, in order to improve wear resistance, this type of alloy is treated with a treatment agent (such as P) that refines the primary Si particles.
It was also necessary to add . On the other hand, there is a method of making an extrusion billet by continuous casting and manufacturing vane material by extrusion method without using the above-mentioned casting, but with this method, when the Si content becomes high, primary Si crystals are produced. It becomes difficult to produce a uniformly and finely dispersed extrusion billet, which causes problems such as uneven quality of the extruded vane material, significant wear of the extrusion die, and cost issues. It requires heating and extrusion processes, which is disadvantageous. Furthermore, this method also requires a treatment to refine the primary Si particles, as in the case of cast alloys. (Structure of the Invention) The present invention has been made against the background of the above, and its object is to provide a vane material for compressor, etc., which has stable quality and excellent wear resistance. An object of the present invention is to provide a wear-resistant material that can be suitably used as a sliding material. In order to achieve this object, the present invention provides a method for cooling a molten aluminum alloy containing Si at a rate of 13 to 30% by weight at a cooling rate of 100 to 400°C.
Horizontally continuous casting is performed under high cooling conditions by water cooling to achieve sec, plate width: 30 to 250 mm, plate thickness: 5 to 30 mm,
A step of obtaining a plate-shaped cast material having a plate thickness/width ratio of 1/2 or less, and cutting the continuously produced cast material into a required length by a cutting device connected to the casting device. Furthermore, the cut cast material is then subjected to predetermined processing such as cutting, thereby creating a wear-resistant material with stable quality and fine Si crystallized particles. , it has become possible to manufacture it extremely efficiently using a simplified manufacturing process. (Specific description of the structure) By the way, when implementing the present invention, it will be carried out as shown in FIG. 1, for example. That is, in Figure 1a, 2
is a tandate, and this tandate 2
Inside, a molten Al alloy 4 containing a predetermined Si as a main alloy component is accommodated and held. The Al alloy molten metal 4 may be Al-Si type, AL-Si-Cu type, or Al-Si-Cu type, which is in the hypereutectic region and generally has a Si content of 13 to 30% by weight.
A molten Al alloy such as Al-Si-Cu-Mg will be used. The Al alloy molten metal 4 in this tundish 2 is guided through the lower part of the tundish 2 into a cylindrical direct water-cooled mold 6 arranged horizontally. This mold 6 is cooled by cooling water 8 flowing through a cooling water chamber provided inside the mold 6, and thereby cools and solidifies the Al alloy molten metal 4 led from the tundish 2. The plate-shaped cast material 10 thus obtained is taken out in the horizontal direction by pinch rolls 12, table rollers, or the like. Note that the direct water-cooled mold 6 has a slit-shaped casting hole corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the target plate-shaped cast material 10. In addition, in order to completely solidify the plate-shaped cast material 10 that is continuously taken out from the direct water-cooled mold 6, as shown in FIG. A spout 14 communicating with the cooling water chamber is provided, and the plate-shaped cast material 10 is further cooled by the cooling water 8 spouted through the spout 14. Therefore, in this way, a predetermined plate-shaped cast material 1 such as a vane material for a compressor is produced by the horizontal continuous casting method.
By continuously casting 0, both sides of the plate-shaped cast material 10 are directly cooled by water cooling, so a high cooling rate (100 to 400 ° C / sec) can be obtained. This results in the first crystallization.
This means that the Si particles are uniformly refined. For this reason, there is almost no need for processing to refine primary Si, and even when additives are added to refine Si, they only need to be added in small amounts compared to conventional methods, which reduces the yield. is significantly improved. By the way, in the hypereutectic alloy of Al-13~30%Si,
As primary Si becomes larger, the abrasion and abrasion resistance of the cutting tool deteriorates, so primary Si grains of 50 to 100 μm are usually reduced to 20 to 40 μm by adding P (phosphorus).
According to the method of the present invention, fine primary Si grains can be obtained without adding P as a refiner due to the rapid effect. In addition, the plate-shaped cast material 1 cast according to the present invention
0 means that the ratio of plate thickness/width is 1/2 or less, and the plate thickness is 5 mm to 30 mm, and the plate width is 5 mm to 30 mm.
It will be cast continuously in sizes from 30 to 250 mm. By adopting such board thickness and board width conditions, the desired high cooling state can be advantageously achieved. In particular, in the present invention, even when obtaining a high cooling state, it is possible to achieve the desired high cooling state. Thinner thickness is preferable, especially cast material 10 with a plate thickness of 15 mm or less
is suitably cast, and the high cooling rate that accompanies such thinning allows the crystallized substances inside the cast material to be made more effectively fine and uniform. The plate-shaped cast material 10 obtained by continuous horizontal casting in this way is cut by a cutting device (such as a flying saw) 16 connected to the casting device, as shown in FIG. 1a. The cast piece 18 obtained by cutting to a required length is then subjected to a predetermined process such as cutting.
It is finished as a wear-resistant material. In addition, in order to facilitate or simplify the processing into this wear-resistant material, the shape of the plate-shaped cast material 10 can be made into a shape close to the final product shape as shown in FIGS. 2a to 2d. Desirably, this allows the amount of machining in a predetermined machining process, such as the amount of finishing cutting, to be reduced. (Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above explanation, according to the method of the present invention, parts that require wear resistance and high strength can be obtained directly and continuously from the molten metal in a form close to the final product. Also, due to the continuous casting method, the quality of the cast material is stable, and there are almost no defects observed in conventional castings. Moreover, since plate-shaped cast materials, especially thin plates, are directly cast by water cooling, a high cooling rate can be obtained, and primary crystallization is possible.
As Si becomes finer, there is little need for treatment to refine the primary Si crystals, and even if such treatment is necessary, the amount of treatment agents such as grain refiners added is the same as before. A small amount is required compared to
Moreover, the yield is also improved. Furthermore, the properties such as wear resistance and strength of the parts manufactured by the method of the present invention are superior to those of conventional materials, and the manufacturing process is simplified, making it possible to reduce costs. This is where the present invention has great industrial significance. (Examples) Below, some examples of the present invention will be shown to clarify the present invention more specifically, but the present invention should not be construed in any way limited by the description of such examples. It should be understood that this is not the case. In addition to the specific examples described above and the embodiments illustrated below, the present invention may be modified, improved, and modified in various ways based on the knowledge of those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit of the present invention. that the present invention includes within its scope such embodiments;
It goes without saying. Example 1 Using a molten Al alloy with a composition of Al-18%Si,
By the casting apparatus shown in Fig. 1a, plate thickness: 8
A thin plate material 10 with a plate width of 60 mm is continuously cast according to a normal horizontal continuous casting method, and the continuously obtained cast material 10 is cut into a desired length by a cutting device (flying saw) 16. I cut it right. Since the thus obtained cast material was quenched by direct water cooling from both the upper and lower surfaces during casting, its dentrite arm spacing was 4 to 6 μm. When the cooling rate was estimated from this value, it was 100 to 400°C/sec.
In addition, the primary Si particle diameter in the obtained cast material was 20~
30 μm, and even though the conventional primary Si grain size was not refined, the primary Si grain size was comparable to that of the refinement process. Moreover, it was observed that the primary Si grains of this cast material were uniformly refined even in the longitudinal direction. The thus obtained material (cast piece 18) having a predetermined size is cut by the cutting device 16.
By applying a minimum amount of cutting processing, the material could be used as the intended compressor vane material. On the other hand, when castings for vane materials were cast using A390 alloy molten metal with approximately the same Si content according to the conventional method, the occurrence of cavities and inclusion of oxides were observed, and furthermore, the occurrence of cavities and entrainment of oxides was observed. Segregation of primary Si was also observed, resulting in poor performance and quality. In addition, when an extruded billet (6″φ) was cast using the normal continuous casting method using molten A390 alloy, the primary Si crystals became coarser in the center of the ingot, that is, as the cooling rate became lower, and the casting surface 10μm from part to center of ingot
It showed a change in the primary Si grain size of about ~40 μm. Example 2 Hypereutectic Al-Si with each composition shown in Table 1 below
Using the molten alloy, horizontal continuous casting was carried out in the same manner as in Example 1, and a plate thickness: 10 mm, plate width: 100 mm,
A continuous thin plate material having a cross-sectional shape as shown in FIG. 2c was manufactured. Next, this thin plate material was sequentially cut into predetermined lengths using a cutting device (flying saw) 16, and the obtained thin plate pieces 18 were cut to obtain the intended compressor vane material. Primary crystals in the vane material thus obtained
The Si grains were significantly refined by high cooling using the horizontal continuous casting method (as shown in Table 1), and their structure was also uniform. 【table】
