In the conventional power distribution system, power distribution equipment such as transformers and cut-out switches are installed on pole arms attached to utility poles using mounting brackets, and high and low voltage distribution lines are installed on the pole arms. Since the electric wires are held in place by supporting insulators, the wiring such as the power distribution lines and the connecting wires on the high and low voltage sides of the transformers are exposed and intersected above the roads, which is unfavorable from the aesthetic point of view of the city.

In the present invention, a pair of side plates are inserted into a cylinder formed in a cylindrical shape at a distance from each other in directions facing each other and welded to the cylinder. These surfaces form a content storage section with a substantially elliptical cross section, and at the same time as forming this content storage section, a cavity formed between the side plate forming the content storage section and the circumferential surface of the cylindrical body. A transformer case is provided with heat dissipation fins, and the contents of the transformer are accommodated together with insulating oil in the contents storage section of the transformer case to form a transformer. In addition to improving cooling performance by making it common with the transformer case and by using heat dissipation fins provided on the side plate of the contents storage part, it is also possible to improve the cooling performance by making it possible to install it near the top of the utility pole without using pole mounting materials such as pole mounting arms. To provide a pole-mounted power distribution transformer that can be mounted on a pole without spoiling the cityscape.

The present invention uses a pair of side plates at the center of a cylindrical body to form a content storage part with an approximately oval cross section, which shares a part with the cylinder body, and the side plates of the content storage part have a pair of side plates. Since a cylindrical transformer case is constructed by arranging a large number of heat dissipating fins in the cavity inevitably created between the side plate and the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder, the contents of the transformer can be stored in the contents storage area. The insulating oil contained therein can be cooled well because the heat dissipation fins and a part of the contents storage part are formed in common with the transformer case.
It becomes possible to effectively suppress the temperature rise of the transformer. In addition, the heat dissipation fins are arranged without being exposed to the outside by effectively utilizing the hollow part of the transformer case, so that they can be installed on utility poles without increasing the size of the transformer case. It also has the advantage of being able to be manufactured in the same shape as the one without compromising its aesthetic appearance.

Furthermore, when a transformer case is mounted on a pole with the contents of the transformer contained therein, even though the lower part is covered by the upper and lower cover tubes, the lower cover tube has a cavity inside the case. Since a large number of communicating air holes are perforated, the heat dissipation fins arranged in the cavity ensure that outside air can circulate well into the cavity through the air holes even if the heat dissipation fins are surrounded by the transformer case. This is the same as constantly exposing the transformer to the outside air, so the cooling effect of the transformer can be maintained even better.

Furthermore, even though the part that accommodates the transformer's contents is oval, the outer shape of the transformer case is circular, so when it is mounted on a utility pole, the case is slightly larger in diameter than the utility pole. Moreover, since it has the same shape as a telephone pole, it does not spoil the aesthetic appearance of the city. Moreover, since the upper and lower parts of the transformer are covered with skirt-like covers, the transformer's accessories such as high and low voltage bushings and the heat dissipation fins are not exposed to the outside at all. Since no pillar supports are used, it is possible to install pillars while maintaining a good urban landscape.

Furthermore, the connection between the distribution line and the transformer can be made by effectively utilizing the space in the upper utility pole or the cavity in the transformer case, which simplifies the external shape of the transformer as described above. Coupled with this, it becomes possible to provide a pole-mounted power transformer for power distribution that does not spoil the aesthetic appearance of the city.
