従来、自動車用内燃機関の点火回路において、
発振器とコンデンサ放電形点火回路とを組み合わ
せて振動パルスを発生させ、第1図に示すように
これをイグニツシヨンコイル1で高電圧に昇圧し
てスパークプラグで連続した火花放電を行なわせ
るようにした自動車用内燃機関のコンデンサ放電
形点火回路は公知である。このような連続火花放
電式の点火回路にあつては、第2図に示すように
イグニツシヨンコイル1の低圧側に印加されるA
点と同一の振動波形がイグニツシヨンコイル1の
高圧側B点にも出力され、電流の方向が交互に正
逆に変るため、方向が変る毎にスパークプラグで
の放電が一時的に休止する。このような放電の一
時的中断は、シリンダー内における火炎核の成長
を停止させてしまい、火炎伝播が著しく低下して
着火ミスを招来する欠点があつた。
