[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to a flame-retardant paper used as a lining paper for vinyl wallpaper, and in particular, it has a heat-resistant paper with little discoloration due to heating during the heating process during processing of vinyl paste. This invention relates to an excellent wallpaper lining paper and a method for producing the same.

Vinyl wallpaper is manufactured by applying vinyl paste to the surface of the backing paper, gelling it, printing, foaming, embossing, and other processes. In these steps, heat treatment is performed at 140 to 250°C, and at this time the backing paper changes color mainly due to the flame retardant blended. If this discoloration is large, it will affect the surface vinyl layer, making it difficult to match the color of the vinyl layer, and uneven discoloration will occur due to uneven temperature in the heating zone, both of which are undesirable as they will significantly reduce the commercial value. In order to improve the heat resistance of lining paper, attempts have been made to investigate papermaking raw materials, flame retardants, etc., but to date, nothing satisfactory has been achieved. is desired.

In view of the above-mentioned current situation, the inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies on the development of a lining paper that is less discolored by heating during the heat treatment process during vinyl paste processing, and have decided to apply a specific dyeing treatment to flame-retardant paper. It has been discovered that heat discoloration can be reduced by this.

Water-soluble or water-dispersible flame retardants such as condensed phosphoric acid are often used. These flame retardants decompose below the combustion temperature of cellulose and render cellulose flame retardant mainly through dehydration and carbonization. Lining paper generally undergoes very large discoloration when heated due to the flame retardant added. For example, the decrease in whiteness before and after heating Na3 filter paper manufactured by Toyo Roshi ■ for 2 minutes at 200°C is 2%, but when 25 weight of guanidine sulfamate, a flame retardant, is added, the same temperature is heated to 200°C.
When heat treated for 2 minutes, the decrease was as large as 15%. However, when applying flame retardant to filter paper, a direct dye Kayaku D manufactured by Nippon Kayaku ■ is added to the flame retardant aqueous solution.
Direct Brown WA to filter paper 0.0
When applying 1% by weight, the decrease in whiteness before and after heat treatment at 200° C. for 2 minutes was only 4%.

This value is significantly superior to that of paper which is coated with ordinary flame retardants, and is close to that of filter paper which is not coated with flame retardants, so it can be said that the heat resistance is extremely excellent.

As the dye used in the present invention, direct dyes, basic dyes, acid dyes, etc. used in ordinary paper making can be used. There are no particular restrictions on the dyeing method as long as it can be uniformly applied to the paper web, but for example, the internal addition method in which it is added to the paper stock in a beater or mixing chest, and the size dyeing method that is applied to the formed paper web. Press method can be used. The reason why the whiteness after dyeing treatment was limited to 40% or more is that
If it is less than %, the whiteness will be too low and the color of the backing paper will affect the surface vinyl layer, which is not preferable.

In addition, the reason why the reduction in whiteness before and after the dyeing process was limited to 5 to 30% is that if it is less than 5%, the effect of dyeing is very small, and the reduction in whiteness due to flame retardant during heating is extremely large.
Moreover, if it exceeds 30%, the decrease in whiteness due to the flame retardant during heating is small, but the decrease in whiteness due to dyeing is significant.

The present inventors have discovered that by dyeing flame-retardant lining paper for wallpaper, the reduction in whiteness during the heat treatment step during processing of vinyl paste can be significantly reduced compared to when it is not dyed.

However, if the flame retardant-applied paper is dyed to reduce the whiteness to the level of whiteness during heating, the above-mentioned effect of reducing the width of the decrease in whiteness can be obtained. This is considered to be the result of the reduction in whiteness due to the flame retardant during heating being offset by the effect of the reduction in whiteness due to dyeing being decolored by heating and increasing whiteness.

As is clear from the margin table below, compared to Comparative Examples 1 and 3 which were not dyed, Examples 1 and 2 which were dyed had a smaller decrease in whiteness before and after heating. Further, in Comparative Example 2, where the whiteness decreases due to dyeing is small, the whiteness decreases before and after heating are similar to Comparative Example 1, and the effect is extremely small. In the case of Comparative Example 4, the degree of decrease in whiteness before and after heating was very good, but the whiteness before heating due to dyeing was extremely low, detracting from the commercial value.
