Claims (1)
- 被軸封機器の回転軸と同時回転する回転密封環
を設けた回転側シール要素と、被軸封機器のケー
シング側に回転不能かつ軸移動可能に取付けられ
る静止密封環を設けた固定側シール要素を有し、
回転密封環と静止密封環の密封端面を摺接させて
軸封部を形成するメカニカルシールにおいて、前
記ケーシングを貫通して液密かつ軸移動可能に配
設されるとともにケーシングの内外に延出する測
定棒と、この測定棒を常時固定側シール要素に向
つて付勢して、測定棒の内端を固定側シール要素
に押圧させるスプリングを具備し、前記密封端面
の摩耗に伴う固定側シール要素の軸移動に追従す
る測定棒の軸移動量を計測するように構成してい
ることを特徴とするメカニカルシールにおける密
封端面の摩耗量検出装置。
