クトスイツチ等の手動操作によつて4輪駆動への
切換えを行うものでは、運転者が4輪駆動へ切換
えるべき路面条件又は走行条件であることを認識
できなかつた場合、或は認識しても切換えるのが
面倒で切換操作を行わなかつた場合は、パートタ
イム4輪駆動自動車の持つている機能を発揮でき
ないことになり、できれば4輪駆動への切換えを
運転者の操作によらないで自動化することが望ま

を介して4輪駆動切換用アクチユエータ(例えば
電磁ソレノイド)7を作動させ、4輪駆動への自

ると共に、本発明装置を従来からある雨天時、急
加速時及び制動時に自動的に4輪駆動に切換える
装置と組合せることにより、パートタイム4輪駆
動自動車における2輪駆動と4輪駆動との切換え
を大部分自動化することができ、より高度な安全
性向上をはかることができるもので、実用上多大
