The solidified shell formed in the hole is locally cooled in a band shape at the arbitrary position to produce an uneven thickness, thereby forming a pipe cross section of an arbitrary shape. In the mold of the present invention, a cooling water channel is divided into a plurality of chambers in the circumferential direction of the hole around the cooling hole formed in the center of the water-cooled jacket,
Further, the hole is formed in a spiral shape in the axial direction of the hole.

By applying a local cooling force to any position in the circumferential direction of the hole, a metal tube with a locally large wall thickness is cast.

る。 Further, according to the casting mold of the present invention, the amount of cooling water is adjusted for each compartment of the cooling water channel to create a difference in cooling power in a spiral shape, and the casting pipe is adjusted to match the feed of this spiral. Alternatively, a tube having a spiral convex portion on the inner surface is cast by pulling up the casting tube while rotating the mold and causing the thickness of the solidified shell to vary in a spiral shape.

することも可能である。 In the above structure, the outer periphery of the die 20 is uniformly cooled by the cooling water in the water cooling jacket 17 while the mold is immersed in the molten metal and the tube is pulled out.
However, since the groove 20a is formed in the die 20, it is possible to cast a tube f having a protrusion e in the axial direction on the outer periphery as shown in FIG. At this time, the cooling force transmitted to the inner surface of the die 20 varies in the circumferential direction due to the difference in wall thickness of the die. Therefore, the molten metal in the die 20 is locally strongly cooled in the thin groove portion 20a of the die 20, so that the inner surface of the formed tube becomes properly cylindrical.
Also, by combining what was explained in FIGS. 1 to 6 and what was explained in FIGS. 7 to 8,
It is also possible to cast a tube with protrusions at arbitrary positions on the inner and outer surfaces of the tube.
