A conventional endoscopic cytodiagnosis brush 1 has bristles 3 inserted between the front half of a relatively short brush attachment wire 2 formed by twisting two elastic wires together, and rubbing the strands of the wire 2 together. A brush part 4 is formed in the same part by inserting the brush part 4, and the latter part of the brush attachment wire 2 formed with this brush part 4 is attached to the tip of the operating wire 5 made of an elastic wire formed into a spiral shape. The main part is constructed by screwing the brush attachment wire 2 into one body with the operating wire 5. A round head fitting 6 is attached to the tip of the brush portion 4 to prevent damage to the inner wall of the body cavity. When integrating the brush mounting wire 2 and the operation wire 5, the brush mounting wire 2 is twisted to form a 2.
Since the interval between the peaks of the elastic wire rod, that is, the pitch, corresponds to the pitch of the spiral shape of the operating wire 5, the brush mounting wire 2
By twisting, the twisted peaks of the wire 2 bite into the spiral valleys of the operating wire 5, and the wire 2 is fixed to the operating wire 5.

When inserting the brush, a twisting motion may be applied to the brush portion 4 to rotate the brush portion in the direction of the arrow A shown in the figure, or as shown in FIG. When collecting the
In order to efficiently entangle the cells with the bristles 3 of the brush portion 4, if a rotational movement in the direction shown by arrow B is applied other than the back and forth movement along the axial direction, at this time, the cytodiagnosis brushes 1 and 7 If the direction of rotation is opposite to the twisting direction of the two elastic wires of the brush attachment wire 2, there is a risk that the brush wire 2 will come off the front end of the operating wire 5 and fall into the body cavity. A rectangular closed loop brush holder 13 is formed by the linear parts 12b, 12c, and 12d, and the other parts are kept straight and the main straight line The rear end of the portion 12e serves as a hand-side operating portion 12f.

A circular bearing hole 16a is bored in the shaft. Note that when the bristles 15 of the brush member 14 are made of a thermoplastic resin such as nylon resin, the bearing portion 16 is formed by heat fusion without using an adhesive, and the bearing hole 16a is bored in the bearing portion 16. Can be attached to 3. When attaching the brush member 14 to the brush holder 13, as shown in FIG.

This brush member 14 is positioned at the straight part 12d by moving each straight part 12a, 12b, 12c of the brush holder 13. after this,
By returning the most distal straight section 12a to the state where it is in contact with the main straight section 12e, the brush holder 13 becomes in a closed loop shape again, as shown in FIG.
The straight part 1 for the same support shaft uses the straight part 12d of 3 as the support shaft.

うなことはない。 First, as in the conventional case, the cytodiagnosis brush 11 is inserted into the treatment instrument insertion channel 8 (the third
(see figure), the brush member 14 is made to protrude from the distal end of the endoscope, and the brush member 14 is brought into pressure contact with the inner wall 9 of the body cavity, as shown in FIG. Next, when the operating wire 12 is moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction of the wire 12, the brush member 14 moves around the support shaft straight portion 12d, and the bristles 15 move against the inner wall of the body cavity.
Rotate while rubbing. For this reason, hair 15
The tissue forming the inner wall 9 of the body cavity is hooked onto the tip of the hair 15, and the tissue cells are entangled with the hair 15. Therefore,
If the operating wire 12 is moved back and forth significantly, many tissue cells will be scraped and collected over the entire circumference of the brush member 14. At this time, the brush holder 1
3 maintains a rectangular closed loop shape, and the brush member 1
4 is reliably supported by the support shaft linear portion 12d, so it will not fall off from the brush holder 13.

7, the cytodiagnosis brush 17 is inserted into the body cavity through the treatment instrument insertion channel 8 of the endoscope (see FIG. 3), the brush member 14A is pressed against the body cavity inner wall 9, and the operation wire 12 is inserted into the body cavity. When the brush member 14A is moved back and forth, the brush member 14A is rubbed against the inner wall 9 of the body cavity without rotating, since the brush member 14A is not rotatable with respect to the linear portion 12d 0 for the support shaft. Therefore, even if the back and forth movement of the operating wire 12 is not so large, the brush member 14A
The tips of the bristles 15 of the brush member 14A strongly rub the tissue cells on the inner wall 9 of the body cavity, and many cells become attached to the bristles 15 of the brush member 14A.

Even if movement is applied, there is no risk of the brush member falling off as in the conventional case. In addition, since the closed loop of the brush holder can be opened and closed, the brush member is detachable, and the old brush member can be easily replaced with a new one, or brush members of various shapes can be easily replaced, resulting in an inexpensive configuration. It exhibits excellent effects such as being able to.
