Claims (1)
- 対向電極を形成した一対の透明基板間に液晶を
封入すると共に少なくとも一方の前記基板の内面
に少なくとも前記対向電極位置を除いて光不透過
性の遮光層を形成する液晶セルと、この液晶セル
の前後面に配設する偏光板とによつて液晶素子を
構成し、前記対向電極間に印加される電極の少な
くとも一部に光を透過させるネガ表示タイプの液
晶表示装置において、前記液晶セルの後面側に表
示部を設け、前記遮光層に少なくとも前記表示部
を視認し得る表示部より大きな透視部を設け、こ
の透視部と前記表示部との間隔を覆つて前記液晶
セルの後面側に前記遮光層と同系色のマスク層を
設けたことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
