た馳締ロールまたは馳締刃等を設けなければなら
なかつた。さらに平坦状に折返し圧着すると、そ
の折返し箇所がひび割れ状態になることが多く、
そこが腐蝕しやすく、防錆処理が不良となる欠点

錆の面を良好にでき、第3に水密性を完璧にで
き、さらに第4に強固にでき、第5に材料の寸法
調整が可能等の多くの作用効果を奏する。これら
の作用効果を後述すると、少なくとも垂下状端縁
10を円弧状に形成しつつ折返すことで、従来必
要とされた平坦状に折返し圧着加工が不要とな
り、一般に金属板を平坦状に折返すには終期段階
で最も大きな力を必要とするが、円弧状に形成し
て折返すことは、そのような大きな力を必要とせ
ず、比較的小さな力で折返し成形ができ、手動馳
締機にて馳締加工するときには、労力を少なくし
て能率的にできる。さらに電動馳締機では、小さ
な駆動源でも十分な馳締加工ができ、作業性も著
しく向上できる。即ち、平坦状に折返し圧着に対
して本発明では著しく簡単な馳締加工ができる。
さらに、円弧状の折返しであつて、平坦状の折返
し圧着ではないため、板厚に応じた馳締ロールま
たは馳締刃は不要となり、同一の馳締ロール等に
て馳締が可能となり、良好な作業性は勿論、馳締
機の構成も簡単にできる。さらに、平坦状に折返
し圧着すると、その折返し箇所で、ひび割れ等が
多く発生したが、円弧状で折返しにて、ひび割れ
することが殆んどなくなり、そこから腐蝕するこ
とも防止でき、防錆の面から良好なる馳締構造に
できる。また、平坦部9と頂部3とを、垂下状端
縁10と端縁4とを夫々密着させ、該端縁4と頂
部3との間に適宜な間〓部12を形成したことに
より、該間〓部12は雨水の毛管現象を阻止でき
るし、その密着は毛管現象が働く余地を全くなく
すことができ、従来のように平坦状に折返し圧着
して馳締しても雨仕舞が悪い欠点を略完全に解消
し、その折返し圧着等しなくとも、馳締部からの
雨水の浸入は確実に遮断でき、雨仕舞(水密性)
の極めて優れた馳締構造にできる。また、このよ
うに弾発的に密着したことは、平坦部9垂下状端
縁10と頂部3端縁4とが、風圧、振動等によつ
て緩みにくく、板鳴現象を最小限にできると共
に、馳締部が容易に外れないような強固な構成に
できる。

板の対向する両頂部、両端縁に被嵌し、少なくと
も垂下状端縁の基部側を円弧状に形成しつつ下方
に折返し、平坦部と頂部とを、垂下状端縁と端縁
とを夫々密着させ、該端縁と頂部との間に適宜な
間〓部を形成したことを特徴とした馳締外囲体に
