Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency of pattern modifying and pattern checking works and to reduce wiring board designing errors and designing man-hour by setting shifting quantities of classified wiring pattern data in the X and Y directions of pattern coordinates at every layer and drawing wiring patterns of each layer on the same drawing. CONSTITUTION:Patterns are read from a hand-drawn original pattern diagram, etc., through a digitizer, etc., and the wiring pattern data on a wiring board are classified by layer based on the patterns. Then shifting quantities of the classified wiring pattern data in the X and Y directions of pattern coordinates are set at every layer and wiring patterns are drawn in accordance with the set quantities by using an automatic drawing device at every layer. The patterns 3a and 36 of the second layer of the pattern diagram of a printed wiring board having four logic layers are drawn in a state where the patterns 3a and 3b are shifted by a displaying quantity (d) from the patterns 2a and 2b of the first layer. The patterns of the third and fourth layers are also drawn in the same way. When the displacing quantity (d) is changed at every layer, the patterns can be discriminated more easily.

In recent years, there has been a trend to design patterns for printed wiring boards using computer-based CAD systems and to automate component placement and wiring design. Another method has been adopted in which a hand-drawn original pattern is passed through a digitizer to convert the pattern coordinates into digital data, and an artwork film is automatically created based on this data.

As an automatic drawing method for such printed wiring board pattern drawings, for example, as described in JP-A-63-112794, in order to distinguish between thin patterns and thick patterns in the same layer, only thick strokes are drawn twice. An automatic drawing method is known in which patterns are distinguished from other patterns by drawing.

The above conventional technology does not take into consideration when designing a printed board with two or more layers, and when designing a printed board with two or more layers, automatic drawing is done in units of two layers on transparent drawing paper. There was a problem in that the design work had to be carried out by superimposing them on top of each other.

In order to achieve the above object, the method of automatically drawing a printed wiring board pattern drawing of the present invention uses an automatic drawing device to draw wiring layers having a plurality of layers, through holes connecting the wiring layers, and through holes and pads. In an automatic drawing method for drawing a printed wiring board pattern drawing consisting of connected wiring pattern information, the wiring pattern data on the wiring board is classified for each layer, and the classified wiring pattern data is divided into pattern coordinates X for each layer. The method is characterized in that the amount of shift in the Y direction is set, and a wiring pattern is drawn for each layer on the same drawing according to the set amount.

In the present invention, when automatically drawing a printed wiring board pattern drawing, the through holes connecting each M#J and the component pads on which components are mounted are drawn as they are mounted on the wiring board, and each through hole The wiring patterns connected to the component pads are drawn with slight shifts for each layer. Furthermore, when the number of layers increases in addition to this, the straight line segment of the same pattern is divided into at least one or more parts in order to distinguish between the types of patterns.

As a result, when adding or modifying a pattern on a printed wiring board consisting of multiple layers, it is no longer necessary to draw the drawing in units of two layers on transparent drawing paper and then overlap them.
Since there is no need to draw multiple drawings, drawings can be drawn using ordinary drawing paper, improving work efficiency.

Conventionally, as shown in Fig. 2, a pattern is first read from a handwritten pattern original using a digitizer (not shown) (step 2o1), and an automatic drawing device (not shown) is used based on this read data. Then, a pattern is drawn (step 202). Here, all layers on the wiring board are drawn. Next, extracting the twice-written pattern is performed (step 203), and if there is a pattern (step 204), the drawing origin is shifted by one (step 205),
Only the corresponding pattern is drawn (step 206). That is, the drawing origin O of the pattern coordinates X, Y is set to 0', the same data is shifted, and drawing is performed again. An example of this drawing is shown in FIG. When drawing using this method, patterns that are in different layers but pass through the same route are drawn overlappingly. Therefore,
It is difficult to judge from the drawing which through hole the overlapping pattern is connected to. Furthermore, it is clear that even color identification becomes completely difficult to see if they overlap, and pattern identification has become a national policy.

In contrast, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, a pattern is first read from a handwritten pattern original (consisting of multiple layers) through a digitizer (not shown) (step 101), and this read data is also used. Then, the wiring pattern data on the wiring board is classified into layers (step 1o2). Next, set the amount to shift the classified wiring pattern data in the pattern coordinate X direction and Y direction for each layer (step 104), using an automatic drawing device (not shown).
Draw a wiring pattern for each layer according to the set amount (
Steps 105, 106). Thereafter, this process is repeated for all layers (step 103). Through the above processing, wiring patterns are drawn on the same drawing in a state where they are shifted from layer to layer (see FIG. 3). That is, as shown in FIG. 3, in a printed wiring board pattern drawing having four logical layers, patterns 3a and 3b in the second layer are pattern shifted relative to patterns 2a and 2b in the first layer. The image is drawn shifted by an amount d. Below, in the same way, the 3rd M, 4th N
Draw a pattern. At this time, it is easier to identify the pattern if the shift amounts d in the X direction and the Y direction are set to different values.

In recent years, high-density boards have been manufactured with more than 4N logical layers, so in order to make drawings more legible, it is better to predetermine the line type to be used for each layer, which will make identification easier. Become. For example, a fourth layer pattern 5 in which the line type of the pattern of interest is indicated by a broken line is shown as an example (third layer pattern 5).
(see figure). It is clear that as the shape of the broken line increases, it becomes easier to identify the pattern.
