There is a tendency for edge wear and outer blade deformation to progress and the cutting quality to deteriorate.

Conventionally, methods have been proposed to notify the user of the lifespan of the outer blade by creating a weak part and utilizing the fact that this part wears out due to sliding contact with the inner blade and falls off over time. .

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric razor outer blade that is well known.

Furthermore, by utilizing optical interference, when the outer blade is deformed, the reflected light from the deformed part and other parts changes, making it possible to identify the deformed part of the blade.

Fig. 1 shows a cross-sectional view of the outer cutter, and the base material of the outer cutter is made of stainless steel. A transparent thin film 2 made of a diamond-like carbon film is coated on the surface of 1 by CVD or PVD. The transparent thin film 2 has high hardness and has a thickness of 0.1 μm or less. FIG. FIG. 3 is a diagram showing the state of light interference on the surface of the outer blade, in which light 3 reflected on the surface of the transparent thin film 2 and light 3 passing through the transparent thin film 2 are reflected from the base material of the outer blade made of stainless steel. There is light 4 reflected on the surface of the transparent thin film 2, and the optical interference of these reflected lights 3゜4 is generally expressed by the following formula. In other words, the thickness of the transparent thin film 2 is d, the refractive index is n, and the refraction angle is If r is the wavelength of light, λ is the wavelength of light, and m is an integer, then 2nd cosr = (2m + 1) λ/2 - bright = 2m
- λ/2 -1 sound, that is, the optical path difference 2ndc between the light 3 reflected on the surface of the transparent thin film 2 and the light 4 reflected on the base material 1 of the outer blade.

用者に知らしめるようになっている。When sr is an even multiple of λ/2, the light is strengthened and becomes brighter, and when it is an odd multiple, the light is weakened and becomes darker. By appropriately setting n and d, the difference in wavelength λ, that is, the color of the light, can be changed. Due to the difference in colors, there are colors of light that can be seen strongly and lights of colors that cannot be seen. Therefore, for example, the color that appears due to the reflection of light on the undeformed portion of the outer cutter shown in Figure 2 is blue, but the color that appears due to the reflection of light on the deformed portion of the outer cutter shown in Figure 3 is red. Even minute deformations can be reliably identified by the difference in the color of the reflected light. In addition, even if the outer cutter is not deformed, if it is used for a long period of time, the transparent thin film 2 will disappear due to abrasion due to sliding contact with the skin, and the base material 1 of the outer cutter will be exposed to the surface.
The state of the reflected light changes to notify the user that the device is at the end of its usage period.

In this example, Sin is used as the transparent thin film 2, and an intermediate layer film 5 containing a fragrance is provided between the outer blade base material 1 and the transparent thin film 2. When used, the transparent thin HIJ, 2 disappears due to abrasion with the skin, and the fragrance contained in the intermediate layer film 5 diffuses, informing the user that it is at the end of its use period.

This embodiment is similar to the first embodiment except that a stress sensitive film 7 is provided in a groove 6 formed at the top of the outer cutter. The stress-sensitive film 7 changes color when stress is applied, and when stress is applied due to deformation of the outer cutter, the color of the deformed portion changes to notify the user.

Even minute deformations in the outer blade can be reliably detected, the lifespan of the outer blade becomes clear, and the electric razor can be used in a sharp state at any time by replacing the blade.
