Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of a noise by stacking central cut sections of respective rails, putting inclined cut sections to face each other at an interval and connecting both rails together by a connecting means. CONSTITUTION:The central cut section 7a of a rail 1 and the central cut section 8a of a rail 2 are stacked on each other. The inclined cut section 7b of the rail 1 and the inclined cut section 8c of the rail 2, and the inclined cut section 7c of the rail 1 and the inclined cut section 8b of the rail 2 are respectively put to face each other at respective intervals. Then the rail 1 and the rail 2 are connected by to each other by a connecting means 10 such as bolts and nuts.

However, in the conventional rail connecting device described above, the gap (9) existing at the abutting portion (6) of the rails (1) and (2)
When the wheels (19) of a railway vehicle or the like pass through the rails, a difference in level occurs between the rails (1) and (2), noise is generated, and small dents are formed in the wheels (19) of the railway vehicle. Also, when the wheels (19) of a railway vehicle or the like pass over the rails (1) and (2), small dents in the wheels (19) damage the surfaces of the rails (1 and 2) and generate noise. . Therefore, the conventional rail connecting device described above has a problem in that these noises are combined to generate extremely loud noise.

The rail connecting device of the invention of this application is configured as described above, and the abutting portions of the rails (1) and (2) (
6) The gap (9) (9) that exists in the wheel of a railway vehicle (
19), it becomes difficult to create a step between the rails (1) and (2), making it difficult to generate noise, and for this reason, the gaps (9) and (9) should be made wider than before. This makes it possible to use longer rails than conventional rails, making rail installation work easier.
