The thermal transfer method used is widely used. The base material of this transfer material for thermal transfer is used. In order to improve its runnability and staking resistance, an appropriate amount of inorganic particles of appropriate particle size, such as silicon dioxide or calcium carbonate, is blended into the film.

However, in this case, a new problem arises.

Become. This is thought to be due to the fact that when the part with coarse particles hits the thermal head, the touchability of the head deteriorates, and sufficient heat transfer is not achieved, resulting in uneven or missing prints. becomes. Furthermore, as the film thickness becomes thinner, the film becomes extremely stiff and wrinkles occur during running, which causes poor running and poor printing.

Therefore, in the present invention, there are no particular limitations on the type of polymer, but polyester films are particularly preferably used from the viewpoint of the surface properties and physical properties of the film. Polyester here refers to polyethylene terephthalate, polyethylene 1-1, 6-naphthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, polycyclohexylene dimethylene terephthalate, polyethylene bisphenoxycarboxylate, or modified products thereof, but among these, dimensional stability and Considering mechanical properties, price, etc., polyethylene terephthalate is particularly preferably used in the present invention.

。In this proposal, a film is made using the above-mentioned polymer. The point is that film layers (hereinafter abbreviated as 8 layers) containing almost no air bubbles are laminated on both sides. That is, layer A is a film layer for cushioning the film itself by containing closed cells, and also for developing surface roughness that is effective for film running.
This layer is a layer for compensating for the decrease in mechanical strength of layer A and controlling the surface roughness to an appropriate level necessary for film running.

Further, the bubble content of layer B needs to be less than 20 by volume, preferably less than /S volume, more preferably 10 by volume. If the bubble content of layer A is less than 20 vol., it is unfavorable because the thermal head touchability is poor and the surface roughness that maintains sufficient runnability cannot be imparted, whereas if it exceeds 60 vol. However, it is undesirable to be busy as it may break while driving. Furthermore, if the bubble content of layer B is 20 vol/cm or more, although the running properties are good, the surface smoothness becomes extremely poor, and the mechanical strength also decreases, which is not preferable.

It is preferable. If the thickness of the B layer is thicker than the thickness of the A layer, the cushioning properties of the entire film will be poor, and the contact properties with the thermal head will be poor, which is not preferable. Moreover, if the total thickness exceeds 23 μm, heat transfer will deteriorate, which is undesirable. On the other hand, if the total thickness exceeds 23 μm, it will not have sufficient mechanical strength, which is undesirable.

If this method is adopted, the A layer of the present invention, that is, the bubble content will be 20-4.
Films with a volume in the range of -0 can be easily obtained. Moreover, in this case, the film can be formed within the range of normal stretching conditions without any special modifications to the equipment for producing normal polyester films, so the production cost can be kept low, and this is a great industrial advantage.

It is a thermoplastic polymer that is dispersed in the form of fine particles to form island components. Moreover, it is necessary that the polymer easily forms voids, that is, voids at the interface with the polyester when the polyester is stretched. Examples of such polymers include polystyrene, polymethyl methacrylate, polyolefin, liquid crystalline polyester, and polyphenylene sulfide, among which polyolefin, particularly polypropylene, is preferably used, but the polymer is not limited to these.

If the blending amount is less than 3% by weight, it is extremely difficult to achieve a bubble content of more than 0% by weight, and if it exceeds 0% by weight, it is undesirable because stretching breaks occur frequently during film formation and productivity is extremely poor. . In this way, polyester is mixed with specific different polymers to form a film, but this method requires further stretching in at least one axis direction. This is done not only to give the film sufficient mechanical strength, but also to make the film have the bubble content necessary for the present invention only after the stretching process. As mentioned above, the stretching conditions themselves do not require any special operation and are carried out within the range of conditions for producing ordinary polyester films.

Next, the obtained sheet is stretched in the longitudinal and/or transverse directions at an area magnification of 2 times or more, preferably 9 times or more, and further heat-treated at 710 to 250°C, so that the air bubble content is 20 to 60 vol. The materials are melted at 0'C, guided through one die, melted and laminated so that raw material A' becomes layer A and raw material B' becomes layer B, extruded into a slit shape, and placed on a cooling drum at yo℃. A so-called two-layer co-extruded non-stretched sheet having a thickness of approximately 6 0 μm was obtained.

.. After stretching twice, it was heat-treated at 233° C. for 5 seconds to finally obtain a laminated film in which layer A had a thickness of 3 μm and layer B had a thickness of 7 μm. The bubble content of the A layer of the obtained film was 0% by volume, and the bubble content of the 98 layers was less than 1% by volume. Moreover, the tensile breaking strength of the obtained film is I'1kQ/-
, and showed good film-forming properties without breaking during film formation.
