(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a storage battery storage chamber device, and more specifically, a storage battery storage chamber that prevents the temperature rise of a storage battery built into a room such as an engine room of an automobile together with a heat source such as an engine. Regarding equipment. (Prior Art) When a conventional storage battery is used for an automobile, it is usually housed in the engine room of the automobile, that is, in a room under the bonnet. The reason for this is to make maintenance of the storage battery easier, and to minimize the distance between it and the starter so that as large a current as possible can flow when the car is started, thereby reducing voltage drop. This is because it is necessary. Also, inside the engine room,
Recently, storage batteries have been installed in relatively narrow spaces due to the installation of pollution control devices, turbochargers, and the like. (Problems to be solved by the invention) When the above-mentioned conventional storage battery is housed in the engine compartment of a car, the temperature of the storage battery may rise abnormally as the engine operates, reaching 90°C or higher. This causes problems such as damage to the storage battery and shortening its lifespan. A detailed investigation into the cause of this temperature rise revealed that the main cause of this temperature rise was the storage battery receiving radiant heat from the aforementioned engines, pollution control devices, turbochargers, etc. (Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention provides a storage battery storage chamber device that prevents the adverse effects on storage batteries caused by heat sources such as engines in the conventional storage battery storage chamber, maintains good operation of the storage batteries, and increases the service life of the storage batteries. This is a storage battery storage room device in which a storage battery and a heat generation source are arranged indoors, in which a thin metal plate with a polymerized heat insulating material on the back is interposed between the storage battery and the heat generation source, facing the heat generation source. . (Example) Fig. 1 shows an example in which the present invention is applied to the engine room of an automobile, where 1 indicates the engine room;
Engine 2, part 1 in the center of engine room 1
Storage batteries 3 are installed in each corner, and 4 are shown in the drawing.
5 indicates a radiator, and 5 indicates an inwardly protruding wall portion of the tire house. The arrangement of the engine room described above is the same as the one immediately installed. According to the present invention, an L-shaped plate is formed between the storage battery 3 and the engine 2 when viewed from the top as shown in the second figure, and the back side is made of glass fiber, synthetic fiber, foamed molding material, etc. A thin metal plate 8 made of a metal foil having a bright surface such as aluminum with a heat insulating material 6 polymerized thereon was erected at 7 on the floor of the room with an adhesive, a holder, etc., facing the engine 2. FIG. 3 shows a modified example, in which a metal thin plate 8 with a heat insulating material 6 polymerized on the back side is fitted to the storage battery 3 on the outer periphery of a rectangular cylinder suitable for fitting and mounting on the outer periphery of the storage battery 3. As described above, there is no need to interpose and install the heat insulating material 6 between the engine 2 and the engine room 1 on the floor surface 7 of the engine room 1, separately from the storage battery 3, and it can be easily installed. This provides advantages such as not requiring much installation space. The results of actual vehicle tests conducted on a passenger car with an engine capacity of 1.8 and turbocharging equipped with the above two types of devices of the present invention were compared with similar tests conducted on the same conventional passenger car not equipped with the device of the present invention. A comparison with the results obtained is shown in Table 1 below. In addition, for this test, a 10 mm thick layer was placed on the back side of a 0.1 mm thick aluminum foil.
A laminate material made of polymerized glass wool material with a density of 80 kg/m 3 was used.

[Table] As is clear from Table 1 above, the temperature of conventional storage batteries in the engine room of automobiles rises to around 90°C 5 hours after starting due to radiant heat from the engine and other parts, whereas The storage battery in the engine room equipped with the device does not reach 40 degrees Celsius even after five hours, and can be maintained at a low temperature. Furthermore, as is clear from Table 1, the remarkable rise in temperature of the storage battery is not due to the influence of the ambient temperature in the engine room or the accumulation of heat generated by the battery itself. In place of the glass wool material in the above test, plastic fibers, foam insulation materials, plant or animal-based felts have similar effects, and instead of aluminum foil, metal plates other than aluminum or metal vapor-deposited plastics can be used. A similar effect was observed when using a film or the like. (Effects of the invention) According to the invention, when a storage battery is housed in a room that contains a heat source such as an engine, the radiant heat from the heat source is reflected by a thin metal plate to insulate the battery, and a heat insulating material is polymerized on the back side. By suppressing heat conduction, it is possible to prevent the temperature of the storage battery from rising, and it is possible to maintain good operation of the storage battery for a long period of time. This has the effect of preventing damage and shortening the lifespan of the product.
