Abstract

PURPOSE:To cool a pavement surface forcibly at an early stage by ejecting air and water against the pavement surface from an air spay section installed to a section oppositely faced to the pavement surface of a tamping roller, on which an air blower and a water pump are loaded, and a water spray section. CONSTITUTION:An air blower 4 connected to a cooling device 10 mounted on the lower side of a tamping roller 1 by pipings 6, 7 and a water pump 5 are loaded on the tamping roller 1, and the cooling device 10 is composed of an air spray section 12 consisting of a large number of air nozzles 11 spraying air and a water spray section 14 made up of a plurality of water nozzles 13 injecting water. The tamping roller 1 is self-advanced and the asphalt pavement surface is rolled while water is injected toward the pavement surface from the water nozzles 13, a large quantity of air are blasted from the air nozzles 11, and the pavement surface is cooled rapidly by the heat of vaporization of water. Accordingly, the term of work can be shortened, and cost can be reduced.

[Prior Art] It is well known that paved roads that have been in use for a long period of time need to be repaired due to deterioration of the road surface due to wear due to spiked tires in winter or ruts caused by the movement of the pavement itself. It is as follows.

Incidentally, known road surface repair methods include a resurfacing method, a cutting overlay method, and an on-site reclamation method. The resurfacing method is a method of completely removing the pavement surface and resurfacing it, and the roadbed may also be improved at the same time. Although it is accurate and makes the road surface look good, it is expensive and takes a long time to complete. It also has drawbacks. On the other hand, the cutting overlay method and on-site regeneration method aim to correct the formation of the pavement surface by scraping off the uneven parts of the road surface.
This is a method of paving to the standard finished height. The construction process includes road surface heating, cutting, cutting and paving, and asphalt paving.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] By the way, according to the construction method described above, the temperature of the leveled asphalt pavement is a predetermined temperature, for example, 60'C.
Since it cannot be used unless it is as follows, there are various problems. In other words, since these construction works are generally carried out with roads closed, it is desirable to complete them in a short time, but asphalt that has been heated to around 160°C does not easily cool down to a usable temperature, so the asphalt casting time is shortened. For example, these works are usually carried out between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am at night when traffic volume is reduced, but in order to allow for cooling time for the asphalt, asphalt pouring can be carried out at around 3:00 am. However, the construction work still needs to be completed, making it difficult to achieve the amount of construction work as planned. This tendency is particularly strong in the summer when temperatures are high.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention is provided with a cooling device on the part facing the paved surface of the compaction roller, and the cooling device is equipped with a cooling device that spouts water and air. Consists of nozzles,
The water pump and air blower for boosting the pressure of water or air are configured to be driven by the power of the compaction roller, such as an engine or a battery. In this way, the present invention mounts an air blower driven by the power provided on the compaction roller and a water pump similarly driven on a compaction roller consisting of a tire roller, a road roller, etc. On the part of the roller facing the paved surface, there is an air blowing section consisting of a plurality of air nozzles that blows air from the air blower toward the road surface, and an air blowing section that sprays water from the water pump onto the road surface as well. It is composed of a water sprinkling section consisting of a plurality of water nozzles that spray water toward the target.

[Operations and Effects of the Invention] Since the present invention is constructed as described above, in its use, the rolling compaction roller is driven over the leveled asphalt pavement surface while cooling the asphalt toward the pavement surface. The device's air nozzle blows a large amount of low-pressure air, and the water nozzle sprays water in the form of a mist. The blown air cools the paved surface and promotes water evaporation. The heat of vaporization of the water is thus removed from the pavement surface and a cooling drop is achieved with a small amount of water. In other words, the temperature of the paved surface is accelerated, and the time from the completion of paving to the time when it can be put into service is greatly shortened.

In particular, according to the present invention, since the cooling device is provided on the compaction roller, there is an advantage that cooling is carried out simultaneously with the compaction of the road surface, and a dedicated cooling vehicle is not required. Furthermore, since the compaction roller is also equipped with a water tank, it has the advantage that it can be provided at low cost.

[Preferred Embodiment] In implementing the present invention, the rolling pressure roller can be a tire roller or a road roller. The air blower mounted on the compacting roller is preferably a large-capacity, low-pressure blower type, and for that purpose it is preferably driven by a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor is of course driven by the hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic pump driven by the compaction roller engine. The water pump can also be driven by a battery attached to the compaction roller. In addition, during implementation, a device to adjust the amount of water to be injected and the amount of air to be blown, such as a throttle valve between the water pump and the water nozzle, and a flow rate adjustment device to adjust the rotation speed of the air blower. It is desirable to provide a valve. If the amount of water is larger than the amount of air blown, a water film will be formed on the pavement surface, inhibiting heat dissipation. In other words, the heat exchange efficiency will decrease, and if the amount of spray is small, vaporization will not be promoted sufficiently and the cooling effect will decrease, but the throttle valve and flow rate adjustment valve can adjust the amount of air and water to the optimal ratio. It is.

Since the present embodiment is configured as described above, the asphalt paved surface can be compacted by causing the compaction roller to run on its own. And water nozzle 13.13...
・Spray water from the air nozzle 11 toward the paved surface.
.. When a large amount of air is blown from 11..., the pavement surface is rapidly cooled by the heat of vaporization of water. At this time, since the cooling device 1° is approximately equal to the width of the rolling roller, the cooling width is approximately equal to the rolling width, and the construction efficiency is improved.

``Summary'' As detailed above, according to the present invention, the cooling time can be shortened by 11 times compared to the conventional natural cooling type.
Paving work time can be increased compared to conventional construction methods. As a result, the amount of construction work will be increased by - days, that is, the amount of work that can be done during the time when the road is closed will be increased, so the construction period can be shortened and costs can be reduced. Moreover, the early cooling device can be constructed simply by equipping a conventional compaction roller with a cooling device, which has a great practical effect.
