Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the control delay of an industrial robot by obtaining the corrected reference value of a servo motor rotational speed based on the reference value of the rotational speed of the motor and correcting this reference value based on the corrected value. CONSTITUTION:The target position obtained from teaching is corrected based on the detected value of the positional deviation between a desired working point to a work and a tool of a robot tip part. Then the corrected target position is converted into a target rotational angle of a servo motor 9 of each axis of a robot. Based on this target angle, a feedforward means 5 acquires the corrected reference value of the rotational speed of the motor 9 to compensate the control response delay of a speed control means 4. The sum of the corrected reference rotational speed of the motor 9 and the reference value of the rotational speed, i.e., the output of the means 4 is defined as the corrected reference value of the rotational speed of the motor 9. Based on this corrected value and the detected rotational speed, a speed control means 7 acquires the torque reference of the motor 9 with which the deviation of the rotational speed is equal to zero. Thus it is possible to reduce the control response delay of a copying action with the control of the motor 9 performed based on the torque reference.

Generally, when working with an industrial robot, a desired action is taught in advance and the action is performed based on the teaching data.
This is often done using so-called teaching playback control. However, if the shape of the workpiece is not constant or the positioning accuracy of the workpiece is insufficient,
It is necessary to detect a desired working point on a workpiece using a sensor provided outside the robot, and to perform position control based on the output of the sensor.

When detecting the desired working point of the robot using a sensor installed outside the robot and controlling the robot's position based on this, (1) teaching playback control is sufficient for many parts of the robot's entire operation; 2) Due to the fact that there are few sensors that can accurately detect the robot's desired work point over the robot's entire operating range, teaching playback control and sensor feedback control using distance sensors with relatively small detection ranges are being used. It is practical to use them together. That is, while constantly performing teaching playback, a sensor feedback control loop is provided outside the teaching playback control loop as necessary, and the target position of the robot is corrected according to the output of a distance sensor or the like.

FIG. 5 shows the configuration of a conventional industrial robot control device that also uses feedback from an external position sensor. Here, a feedback loop of sensors provided external to the robot is configured outside the normal position control loop. Based on the teaching data* The target position P of the robot is determined by the distance sensor 1 installed externally.
The position Prb of the mechanical system 10 of the robot and the work point P of the workpiece detected by 2. It is corrected based on the relative position deviation P with respect to y, and the corrected target position rP* is converted into the rotation angle reference θ* of the i-th joint by the coordinate conversion means 2. In the one-boot system for driving each joint of the robot, the target rotation angle θ1 and the servo motor 9
The adder 3 calculates the deviation between the speed detection value ω, 1 and the rotation angle detection value θ obtained via the integrating means 11, and the position control means 4 multiplies this deviation by a gain K determined by Shinmoto. Then, a rotational speed reference ω1 is generated. In the speed control means 7, the speed reference water ω and the detected value ω of the rotational speed of the servo motor 9 are used. The armature current of the servo motor 9 is adjusted by the power converter 8, and the armature current of the servo motor 9 is adjusted by the power converter 8, and the armature current of the servo motor 9 is adjusted by the power converter 8. The operation of the mechanical system IO is controlled.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In particular, in the case of articulated robots, the robot arm generally has a cantilevered structure, and the moment of inertia around the axis of the root increases, resulting in a low natural frequency. The mechanical system is likely to vibrate. In order to suppress this vibration, the gain K of the position control means 4 cannot be made very large.

If the gain of the position control loop is lowered to slow down the response, the position error during operation will increase, and the path accuracy of continuous interpolation operations due to teaching playback control will decrease.
The accuracy of the tracing operation also decreases. Furthermore, since tracking of the tracing motion becomes slow, it becomes difficult to increase the speed of the work.

Based on this target value of the rotation angle, the feedforward means determines the correction amount of the reference value of the rotational speed of the motor to compensate for the control response delay of the position control means. The sum of this correction amount and the rotational speed reference value that is the output of the position control means is set as the corrected rotational speed reference value, and based on this and the detected rotational speed, the deviation of this rotational speed becomes zero. A torque reference for the servo motor is determined by the speed control means. By controlling the motor based on this determined torque reference, response delay in controlling the tracing operation can be reduced.

Next, it will be explained with reference to FIG. 2 that the control device shown in FIG. 1 can compensate for the control response delay of the position control means 4. In FIG. 2, the reference numeral 2o represents the control elements and control objects from the output of the adder 6 to the rotational speed ωa+1 of the servo motor 9 shown in FIG. Q. Also, the code G

Then, substituting equations (1) and (3) into equation (2) yields. Further, assuming that Tf-Tq and Kr-"r", equation (4) becomes 9 e-pieces'"S -'-°-°°-= (5). Therefore, it can be seen that by appropriately selecting the feedforward means 5, the control response delay of the position control means 4 can be compensated for.

By appropriately selecting the coefficients T and K of the transfer function G of the feedforward means 5 from this step response, it is possible to compensate for the transient deviation of the first-order lag system having an arbitrary time constant, and to It can be seen that both the feedforward amount and the feedforward amount can be adjusted.

As described above, since the delay in control response of the position control means 4 can be compensated for by the feedforward means 5, the position deviation can be reduced and the response of control of the tracing operation can be made faster. In addition, it is equipped with a feedforward means that can compensate for transient deviations in the first-order lag system with an arbitrary time constant, and can arbitrarily set the steady feedforward amount, so overshoots due to excessive feedforward can be prevented. It can be prevented.

It is almost similar to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 with the coordinate conversion means 2 removed, and is carried out when the moving direction of the machine driven by the servo motor 9 and the direction of detection by the distance sensor are the same. It is something. A distance sensor 13 attached to the tip of the robot detects the distance between the robot tool position Prb and the desired work point P on the workpiece as a deviation amount, and converts it into the rotation angle of the servo motor 9. It is converted into the corresponding angular deviation amount θ and output. The adder r 14 controls the tracing operation, except for the servo motor eye distance sensor 13 and the adder 24, which are obtained by teaching, and operate in the same manner as in the first embodiment shown in FIG. .

Even in the control device configured in this manner, the delay in control response of the position control means 4 can be compensated for by the feedforward means 5, so that the position deviation can be reduced and the response of the tracing operation can be made faster.
