Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce electric inductions on a cable and prevent lightning surge, etc., by furnishing a plurality of relay wires for connection of a plurality of signal terminals of No.1 and No.2 connectors, a ground terminal for protection of an exchanger, and an arrestor in connection between relay wire and the ground terminal. CONSTITUTION:A connector 1 is in connection with a connector 12 to be con nected to a main wiring board through a cable 13, while a connector 2 is in connection with a connector 10 on the mother board 9 of an exchanger, and the input terminals 31, 32 of the connector 1 are connected with the output terminals 41, 42 of the connector 2 through relay wires 51, 52. Lightning arrestors 61, 62 are connected with respective relay wires 51, 52, and a high voltage fed from the input terminals 31, 32 will be absorbed. The other terminals of these arrestors 61, 62 are connected with a grounding lead 7, leading further to the ground terminal of the exchanger through another grounding lead 8. This reduces electric inductions on the cable and eliminates risk of generating the ground potential difference between this relay unit concerned and the exchanger to ensure that lightning surge is prevented certainly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a connector repeater that is an accessory to an exchange, and particularly relates to a connector repeater for an exchange that protects the exchange from lightning damage. [Prior art] A lightning arrester is a safety element that protects lines, equipment, and buildings from electrical hazards, and is used to protect against abnormal voltages such as shock voltages caused by lightning, ground faults in power transmission and distribution lines, and contact between power lines and communication lines. When exposed to electricity, it generates an electrical discharge to the earth and quickly returns to its original state. Conventionally, measures to prevent lightning damage to switchboards have been to install lightning arresters at each signal terminal of the main distribution board, or to install lightning arresters inside the circuit board. [The problem that the invention tries to solve! g] Among the methods of protecting conventional switching equipment from lightning damage mentioned above,
The method of attaching lightning arresters to each signal terminal on the main distribution board caused electrical induction on the cables running from the main distribution board to the exchange, which could cause damage to the exchange. In addition, there is a possibility that a difference in ground potential will occur between the ground of the lightning arrester installed in the main distribution board and the ground of the switchboard due to high voltage during lightning strikes.
It was difficult to completely prevent lightning surges. On the other hand, although the method of adding a lightning arrester to each circuit in the switch did not have the above-mentioned drawbacks, it had the disadvantage that if it were standardized, the entire switch would become expensive. In addition, attempting to specialize the installation by adding lightning arresters only to circuit boards that require them had the disadvantage of increasing the number of types of circuit boards and increasing unit costs. [Means for Solving the Problems] An object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art described above, to reduce electrical induction on the cable, and to provide a ground between the ground of the connector repeater and the ground of the exchange. An object of the present invention is to provide a connector repeater for an exchange that can eliminate potential differences and thereby reliably prevent lightning surges, etc. The connector repeater for an exchange according to the present invention includes a first connector having a plurality of signal terminals for connecting a cable from a main distribution board, and a second connector having a plurality of signal terminals for connecting a cable from a motherboard of the exchange. a plurality of relay wires that connect the plurality of signal terminals of the first connector and the plurality of signal terminals of the second connector; a grounding terminal that releases high voltage such as lightning surge and protects the exchange; It is characterized by having a lightning arrester connected between each of the relay lines and the ground terminal. [Example] Next, a connector repeater for an exchange according to the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a connector repeater of an exchange according to the present invention. This connector repeater 1l is box-shaped with connectors 1 and 2 on both ends.
have. Connector 1 is a connector that connects to the main distribution board via cable 13! Connector 2 is connected to connector 10 on motherboard 9 of the exchanger (Fig. 2). Referring to FIG. 1, input terminals 31 and 32 of connector 1
and the output terminals 41 and 42 of the connector 2 are the relay wire 51,
52 are connected to each other. Therefore, the input signal from the input terminal 31 is output to the output terminal 41, and the input signal from the input terminal 32 is output to the output terminal 42, and sent to each circuit board in the exchange. Varistor 61 is connected to relay line 51, and varistor 62 is connected to relay line 1152. As a result, the high voltage input from the input terminals 31 and 32 is absorbed, and the exchange is protected. Further, the terminal of each varistor that is not connected to the relay wire is connected to a ground wire 7, and further connected to a ground terminal of the exchanger by a ground lead wire 8. As a result, the earth potentials of this connector repeater's earth and the exchange's earth are the same. [Effects of the Invention] As explained above, since the connector repeater of the present invention is directly connected to the connector of the exchange, it has the effect of reducing electrical induction on the cable. In addition, since the ground of the connector repeater is grounded to the ground of the exchange, there is no ground potential difference between the two, and lightning surges can be reliably prevented. In addition, it is possible to protect multiple circuit boards in the exchange with a connector repeater, and furthermore, if the connector repeater is used only for the connectors in the exchange that require M lightning devices,
This has the effect of reducing the price of the entire exchange.
