(Prior Art) Door mirrors for automobiles that have a structure in which the mirror visor tilts when a large external force is applied and return to the original position when the external force is removed are well known as so-called tilting mirrors. In addition, a mirror in which the tilt angle of the mirror visor is further increased so that it can be tilted down to about 90 degrees from the normal position and maintained in that position is known as a so-called foldable mirror. All of the mirrors are equipped with a mechanism for adjusting the attitude of the mirror, which is tiltably supported within the mirror visor, and some mirrors allow the attitude of the mirror to be adjusted remotely from inside the vehicle. There are two types of remote adjustment devices: electrical ones and manual ones, but in the case of the above-mentioned foldable mirror, the tilt angle of the mirror visor is large, so the manually operated adjustment axis is attached to the mirror visor. It is difficult to install the device in a manner that does not impede movement, and an electrical remote control device has generally been used.

The shaft 27 of the connecting member 26 protrudes from the rotating shaft 7 into the mirror visor 2 to form a small diameter part 27a, and the drive arm 35 is attached to the small diameter part 27a, and the spherical end 35a at the tip of the drive arm 35 is integrally attached to the mirror holder 14. Drive arm receiver 36 formed in
It is engaged with the engagement recess 36a of. Therefore, the shaft 27 of the connecting member 26 moves in the axial direction or coaxially with the rotating shaft 7 depending on the operating mode of the operating lever 21, so the overall structure is simple. To attach the drive arm 35 to the shaft 27, attach the cylindrical portion 35b of the drive arm 35 to the small diameter portion 2 of the shaft 27.
7a and is biased downward by a coil spring 37. On the lower end surface of the cylindrical portion 35b and the corresponding end surface of the shaft 27,
A V-shaped protrusion 38 is formed on one side and a V-shaped groove 39 is formed on the other side, and the two engage with each other, and normally the shaft 27
The drive arm 35 rotates together, and when an external force is applied to the mirror visor 2 and a large torque is applied, the drive arm 35 is pushed upward against the pressing force of the coil spring 37 and forms a V-shaped protrusion 38. The engagement with the V-shaped groove 39 is disengaged, and the connection between the shaft 27 and the drive arm 35 is released. Further, the engagement recess 36a of the drive arm receiver 36 has a size that allows the spherical end 35a of the drive arm 35 to be held freely and rotatably without any play. A guide portion 43 consisting of a guide pin 41 protruding approximately rearward from the mirror holder 14 and a guide hole 42 formed in the mounting plate 16 is located on the opposite side of the engagement recess 36a across the ball bearing portion 15. is provided, and a guide pin 41 is inserted through a horizontal guide hole 42.
The vertical movement of is restricted. The engagement recess 36a is connected to the guide portion 43 and the ball bearing portion 1.

In the above configuration, when the operating knob 45 is operated to rotate the operating lever 21 around its axis, the spherical end 21a moves vertically because the tip is bent, and accordingly, the spherical end 21a moves in the vertical direction. to move the drive arm 35 up and down, and move the drive arm receiver 36 up and down. Here, since the engagement recess 36a of the drive arm receiver 36 is eccentric toward the back side of the mirror 3 with respect to the line connecting the ball bearing part 15 and the guide part 43, the vertical movement of the drive arm receiver 36 is caused by the ball bearing part 15. This is converted into a rotational movement of the mirror holder 14 about the line connecting the guide portion 43 and the guide portion 43, and the mirror holder 14 tilts in the vertical direction. Furthermore, when the operation knob 45 is moved in the front-back direction (vertical direction in FIG. 2), the connecting member 26 is moved to the shaft 2.
7, the drive arm 35 also rotates, the drive arm receiver 36 is moved in the front-back direction, and the mirror holder 14 is tilted in the horizontal direction using the ball bearing part 15 as a fulcrum. In this way, the posture of the mirror holder 14, and therefore the mirror 3, can be adjusted arbitrarily by remote control from the passenger compartment side. Incidentally, since the movement of the mirror 3 at this time is in the same direction as the movement of the operating lever 21, the feeling during adjustment is good and the adjustment is easy.

is rotatable relative to the shaft 27, and the drive arm 35 rotates together with the mirror visor 2, so that the rotation of the mirror visor 2 is only regulated by the moderation member 9, for example as shown by the chain line in FIG. It can be pushed down to such a position without any problem. Furthermore, when the mirror visor 2 is raised and returned to its normal position, the V-shaped protrusion 38 and the V-shaped groove 39 engage again, and the drive arm 35 returns to the state where it can rotate integrally with the shaft 27. be.

In addition, as a detachable engagement means between the drive arm 35 and the connecting member 26, at least one of them is formed of a flexible material, and the visor 2 is moved by an external force.
It is also possible to adopt other configurations as appropriate, such as one in which the material bends and disengages when a torque above a certain level is applied to it.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, according to the present invention, the mirror visor can be rotated freely, and the posture of the mirror can be arbitrarily adjusted manually, compared to the electric type. Therefore, it is possible to easily obtain a foldable mirror that is simple in structure, inexpensive, and has a good operating feeling.

[Claims] 1. A rotation shaft 7 is attached to a support arm 6 extending horizontally from the bottom of a mirror stay 1 fixed to the outer surface of the vehicle.
The mirror holder 14 holding the mirror 3 is tiltably supported via a ball bearing 15 on a mounting plate 16 fixed to the mirror visor 2, and a shaft hole formed in the mirror visor 2 is formed so as to face substantially vertically upward. 8 onto the rotating shaft 7, and then attach the mirror visor 2.
In the folding mirror which is rotatably attached to the mirror stay 1, the ball bearing part 15 of the mirror support part is provided at a position eccentric from the axis of the rotating shaft 7, and with respect to the ball bearing part 15. A guide pin 41 is provided to protrude substantially backward from the mirror holder 14 at an eccentric position in the substantially horizontal direction, and a guide hole 42 into which the guide pin 41 is inserted is formed in the mounting plate 16 to restrict vertical movement of the mirror. The operating lever 21, which constitutes the guide part 43 and protrudes into the mirror visor 2 by penetrating the mirror stay 1 substantially horizontally from the inside of the vehicle, is rotated by the mirror stay 1 via the spherical bearing 24 and in the front-rear direction. A connecting member 26 is provided which has a shaft 27 which is rotatably supported and attached to the rotary shaft 7 and which is fitted coaxially and movably in the axial direction into the rotating shaft 7, and from the lower end of the shaft of the connecting member 26. A connecting plate 29 is connected to the distal end of the arm portion 28 extending approximately horizontally, and an approximately horizontal engaging recess 31 is formed at the distal end of the connecting plate 29, and the operating lever 21 is inserted into the engaging recess 31. The cylindrical portion 35b of the drive arm 35 is fitted by engaging the spherical end 21a provided at the tip bent toward the back of the mirror, and biasing the shaft 27 of the connecting member 26 with the coil spring 37. The drive arm 35 is driven by the coil spring 37.
The V-shaped protrusion 38 provided on the shaft 27 and the V-shaped protrusion 38 provided on the shaft 27
The mirror visor 2 is disengaged against the torque generated when the mirror visor 2 is rotated by an external force against the coil spring 37.
Further, the spherical end 35a formed at the tip of the drive arm 35 is engaged with the engagement recess 36a of the drive arm receiver 36 formed on the mirror holder 14, and the engagement position is set at the mirror support portion by the ball bearing 15. A manual adjustment device for a foldable mirror, characterized in that the position is eccentric in the rear direction of the mirror with respect to a line connecting the guide portion 43 and the guide portion 43.
