DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to the steps of a passenger conveyor such as an electric road or an escalator, and particularly to a configuration of a passenger conveyor suitable for obtaining steps with high rigidity.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a conventional passenger conveyor has treads 1 arranged in an endless manner to carry passengers.
It is composed of a guide rail and the like that supports and guides the footboard 1. This tread 1 includes a cleat portion 1a for passengers to ride on, and cleat portions 1a disposed on the left and right sides.
a reinforcing body 1c that supports the cleat portion 1a and is fixed to the frame 1b to increase the overall rigidity;

In such a structure, when a passenger jumps onto the cleat portion 1a that constitutes the tread, or when a large number of people get on board, the cleat portion 1a receives a large load and deforms as shown by the broken line in Fig. 1. It will happen. Therefore, in order to prevent this, in the past, a reinforcing body 1c was provided below the cleat portion 1a.
Increase the rigidity by increasing the size of the reinforcing body 1
Measures were taken such as increasing the number of c. However, all of these deformation prevention measures have the disadvantage of increasing the weight of the treadle, and this increase in weight also leads to an increase in the capacity of the drive unit of the passenger conveyor, which is a problem that hinders the energy saving that is currently being called for. It contained.

An object of the present invention is to provide a passenger conveyor that is lightweight and equipped with highly rigid tread plates.

In FIG. 3, the cleat portion 1a, the frame 1
b. The tread guide rail 2 equipped with the roller 1d is substantially the same as the conventional one, but in the present invention, a new frame 1e and the roller 1d are rotated in the same direction as the frame 1e and the roller 1d between the left and right frames 1b near the center of the back side of the tread. A feature is that a support roller 1f is provided, and a support rail 3 is further provided to support the load transmitted to the support roller 1f.

That is, when a large force is applied when a passenger jumps onto the cleat portion 1a or when a large number of people get on the cleat portion 1a, the tread load is applied to the frame 1b, rollers 1d, guide rail 2, etc. as before. In addition to supporting the frame 1e, the support roller 1f, and the support rail 3 newly provided in the present invention, deformation of the cleat portion 1a is reduced compared to the conventional case. Therefore, by providing the frame 1e, the support roller 1f, and the support rail 3,
It is possible to downsize the reinforcing body 1c or reduce the number of reinforcing bodies 1c that are conventionally required.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, a gap δ is provided between the support roller 1f and the support rail 3, and only when a large force is applied to the cleat portion 1a and the cleat portion 1a is deformed, the support roller 1f and the support rail 3 It may also be possible to support the large force by touching them.
