本考案は自動車用エンジンに使用される消音器

る。そして特に耳障な周波数の騒音を減衰するた
め挿入管型の消音器または共鳴型の消音器等が利

6′、ケース2′の後壁4′には入口管5′を気密に
貫挿し、ケース2′内部で前記入口管5′と前パイ
プ6′の一端をC′の間隙で対向させたものであり、

後壁4の開口には入口管5が各々貫挿され、気密
に固着される。前パイプ6の一端は、ケース2の
内部で入口管5とCの間隙で対向して、前記ケー
ス2と前パイプ6および入口管5により挿入管型
の消音器Sを形成している。入口管5の長さは減
少し、逆に前パイプ6の長さは、増加することに
なる。前パイプ6の長さは、入口管5の長さより
大きい。なお、図中Eはフイルタエレメント、7
はダストパン、8は出口管である。また前記前壁
は上壁、下壁としてもさしつかえない。そこでエ
ンジン(図示せず)が作動すれば燃焼に必要なエ
アが前パイプ6の先端から吸入され、消音器S、
入口管5を経てエアクリーナ本体1中に入り、比
較的大粒径のダストは遠心力によりダストパン7
に集塵され、小粒径のダストはフイルタエレメン
トEで過されて浄化されたエアのみが出口管8
